The Oblivion cache on your HDD has become corrupt. Restart the Xbox 360, put the disc in, and hold the A button from the moment the screen goes black to the moment the menu shows up. This will force the game to erase the old cache and create a new one.Mrcod11great answer!
so i was playing oblivion for about 7 hours today then when i reset the system the load times are ten times slower wtf is going on plz help!:cry:that1gamer
Jeeze, 7 hours???? I would think your 360 would burst into flames at that point. Hell, I'm afraid to play mine for more than 2 hours at a time.

I used to untill I played Dead Rising for 13 hours straight for that laser sword.
yah I'm still trying to figure out why the xbox360 loading time has tanked, when ever you play a game that is RAM intensive, i know that there's a theory going around that when you play a massive environment game such as oblivion, gta, or BF: Bad company, the RAM does not dump properly after the round/level/mission/game. Whether this is true or not is another story, and I found that the A button trick does improve performance a little, but it my xbox still loads very slow...
BTW, I've played BF: Bad Company for about 7 hrs strait, the xbox doesn't even get hot, warm yes, but thats expected for a mother board with three processors crunched on it. just don't put your xbox on an enclosed self and it won't over heat/light on fire/explode>_< lol

i wouldnt have the 360 on for more than 4 hours. In my opinion, even 4 hours is pushing it. but i have a question for the TC, have you tried doing the system maintenance thing in the settings? I dont remember the buttons to press, but it usually fixes my 360 whenever it seems to slow down.linklb4130
Ive left oblivion playing for a week straight because I forgot to turn it off. And this was on one of the orignal model 360's too. The Xbox is much more durable than you think...
Middle Earth,
The Xbox 360 is much less durable than you imply. Just because yours hasn't failed yet does not guarantee that it is a dependable system. If you do some research online you will notice that, statisticly, the majority of xbox 360 systems malfunction. I do not suggest that you leave it on for extended periods of time or any other measure that would promote it's incompetence. Just keep playing it as you normally do, and it will most likely fail at some point. Cheers to Microsoft : " that they will from now on deliver ADEQUATE products that do not disappoint the users or make Microsoft look incompetent!"
I'm rooting for you microsoft - despite the agony and frustration you have put me through!
