Alright so my 360 just broke today. No, it's no ring of death. It's just that I get no video from the 360. I can hear it coming out of the TV, but I get no picture. So I thought it was just a messup with the cord, and I got a replacement. (Used at Gamestop) Turns out that didn't work as well.

So next I call the Xbox hotline and get the guy on the phone (computer voice cracks me up) and finally I get someone to help. We went through some things, but nothing worked out right. So he declared it broken and it needed repair.

Unfortunately, my warrantee just expired yesterday and the 3 year extension only applies to the ring of death which I don't have. So now I have to pay for it.

Now I'm thinking, I could get it repaired, pay 100 dollars, and wait 3-5 weeks to get it back. (Probably after Halo 3 and other games come out) Or I could just say "screw that" and get a new system. I would probably be getting the elite.

Well, what do you guys think. Should I wait and pay, or pay more and get it now?

Easy solution. Set your xbox on fire, then put it out when the fire makes a big black mark on your system. Then call Microsoft ...etc send it in and they ship you a brand new xbox 360

A friend of mine did that and it worked..

you gotta make it look like an electrical fire, if it smells like gas, i doubt they'll do warranty work, prolly call the cops, lol

the post above sounds a little off the wall.............

but i wouldnt send it back in. i had to send mine back in 6 times. they kept sending me referbished ones. they will say its a "new" one, but what they mean is NEWLY REFERBISHED. so either i have the worst luck in the world or their repair center sucks. i would go with the elite to be honest. i havent really heard any negitive reviews on them so far.

oh, and if you do decide to send yours back and they say its gonna be new, the only way to tell if its new or not is the box it comes in. if it comes back in the same kinda box you sent it in, its a referb, if it comes back to you in an origional xbox 360 box, then its a brand new one. (that happened to me when i got my 7th one)

good luck man

wrap your picture-less 360 in something and turn it on until it flashes 3 red lights. 100 bucks is a lot of money you could use for Halo and Eternal Sonata
