How are you not gushing over BioShock?

When I think of Bioshock I ooze all kinds of things. I'm sitting in puddles as we speak.THETRUEDOZAH

Yup Bioshock allll the way for me..the gameplay elements its giving the FPS genre is stunning..this game is gonna be a benchmark for FPSRyuketsu2043

Yeah, FPSs have never seen "revolutionary" advances before.  Like where you could do more than just shoot.

Except for that one time in 1998.

1940s art deco look?!?! Awesome!!!  I've never seen retro art in a FPS!  Well, never mind TimeSplitters, that was back in 2000 and the theme needs to be recycled.

Maybe while these guys are at it, they could release "revolutionary" sequels to 1997's Poweslave and Disruptor.  I mean, why bother putting a new name on a shooter anymore?  Isn't it time for a 5th generation Wolfenstein anyway?

I like the look of the game.  Looks fun and creepy.  But don't feed me a line about new gameplay dynamics and blurring the line between RPGs and FPSs.  No freakin' way.  All the gameplay footage is of

1. Guy shoots at creepy "The Ring"-like little girl.
2. Guy shoots at creepy mutant in diving suit
3. Guy shoots at genetically modified assassin that can cling to the ceiling or a security helicopter
4. Guy uses special plasmid powers to have these characters attack each other

Sounds like a good ol' FPS to me.

Gushing?  The hype machine is running smoothly and it's sucking you in.

It's essentially just System Shock 2 with fancy graphics and possibly dumbed down gameplay, I don't see what there is to be excited about, personally, it's being overhyped since it's somewhat dissapointing listening to the features and realizing it's not nearly as expansive as System Shock 2.

Also, saying you're excited for this game and calling it an FPS shows you're an uneducated dork who doesn't now squat about the game anyway.

so what?...gears of war is still an incredible game and mass effect looks insane....but im not leaving bioshock out....i cant wait until this game comes out
