If you want it to break, I can come over and smash it a few times...RandomTask221
i want to help. how about tomorrow at 2:00 P.M.
Do you want it to break? So you can join the broken 360 club. Spots limited. lolTree06
i think that club is full already:P
They definitely have a problem, otherwise MS wouldn't even bother upgrading the heatstink/gpu. Anyone who thinks broken 360s are a myth are bafoons. However, I think it depends on how much you play it. I know someone who doesn't take good care of his things, yet his core console is still alive after a year. Maybe the cores have survivability? ugz602
i said earlier that they didnt confirm anything, i didnt say the exact problem was overheating which may or may not be the problem.
I am aware 360s break down, but we all know that approx 35% of 360s break down (including consoles made since release). That means approximately 3.5 million consoles are defective, while the remaining approx 6.5 are ok. Again MS never confirmed anything, but extending the warranty is good sign showing that they know what the problem is (hopefully). The newer your console is, the less likely it is defective.
this is all IMO, just clarifications . please no more immature bashing from kiddies,

The X-clamps basically hold the CPU to the mobo and if they aren't tight enough. Basically 360s break from heat and can cause the motherboard to bend, which causes the solder points on the motherboard to break. If something happens call microsoft and they will fix the problem for free. Too many people worry about this too much. More than likely it won't happen I have a launch system that hasn't broke on me and so do many of my friends.
Mmmmmmm, I honestly cannot think of one person that have had there 360 suffer from the RRoD yet, and most fo my friends have 360's but mmmm maybe we all just got lucky, lol, but I mean i think it does come down to how you treat it, none of my friends leave them on when wea re not playing them and I mean they only saty in the one spot, so we all do look after them :), but also as i said it may be all just pure luck
It all comes down to how well you treat your console, how long you play it per day, how you put it, how you treat it.
My one broke when my house blacked out.Alpha172
ehh treatment isnt always a factor..im pretty anal about my game systems and what not and ive goen through 2 360's some are jsut defective. be glad yours isnt hahha
arent they supposed to break or somthing..i leave my on sumtimes to download dowmos and stuff when i go to work. sometimes up to 6 hours on. my gets warm but not hot. also i got it when it first came out(the core model). im surprised it didnt fry up or somthing. should i be worried? alextrox69
why should you be worried that ur xbox 360 is working.
lol at the moment im waiting for my 360 to break, so i can make use of my warranty. i can feel my 360 getting sluggish already i hope it dosent break after the warranty EchoFlame
lol i was thinking this. My 2nd 360started to not read discs anymore, to not reading them at all. Drive totally stopped working that or the laser lens is shot. I don't know. Sent it in for repair 3 1/2 weeks ago. Well then yesterday after expecting to get it back from repair anyday now I called microsoft to get an update on where it was. They said oh, no one told you were are having major delays right now. We got your 360 but don't expect if back for a minimum of 6-8 business weeks.
