Selling them yourself is generally the best idea though if they're only offering you $3 a game, you may not have a great deal of value...

What are you trying to sell? Is it something that's in demand or something rare or collectible? If not, and it's older than a few years, you may be best off trading them in. If you do, Gamestop is usually the worst value though, I'd try Amazon or a local non-chain game store.

^^^This. I just started Glyde and while for some older games you'll only get a few bucks. But for example, I sold skyrim and pocketed like $28. Gamestop was only going to give me $14. Go to glyde.com, it's really easy. The process just takes awhile because you have to wait for someone to buy your game once you post it for sale. Then wait like 5 days to receive a shipping package in the mail, then another 5 or so days for the buyer to receive your game. At that point, you get your money.

Well try something else that will sell and give you money for games, but if there's nothing else you like then just sell it to them.

You find someone who is willing to pay more money. Don't sell them to Gamestop, or any retailer for that matter. Sell them yourself.
