I wanna get a 360 but I want the more reliable "falcon" models with the HDMI port and the newer, smaller chips. Does ANYONE know how to tell which model is in which box before I spend my money?

A) The Falcon's aren't out yet, they're only rumored to come out sometime during fall. And

B) When they do come out, youwon't be able totell the difference; Microsoft won't be labeling them differently.

I think the best way to tell is to get a BLACK one, that way you never have to send it BACK

Only if you leave it under a ridiculously strong light. Black absorbs light, not heat.

Anyway. The falcons aren't out yet. Apparently, 360's manufactured after July 2007 are supposed to have an extra heatsink though, so they'll be more reliable if you have to get one now. If not, the Falcon models are rumoured to be showing up in September/October.

I am not sure about the 'Falcon' Xbox 360 models but I read one post about a guy that bought an Xbox 360 and said that on the box it stated the console had HDMI.
