How do xbl 8 yr olds keep getting M games?

Right on...couldn't be any more correct...they don't care enough, and most parents of these kids are young...sad...lol I once played with a whole family...mother and father and 8 year old son on an M rated game...weird...

They're pretty immature in the games too though. Halo 3 is the best example of why children should be banned.

I am not some stupid teenager who goes on live 24/7 and likes it for killing people and seeing blood. I play video games about an hour a day and it is always at night. I am not addicted aand I play for fun and to relax. Most of the time I am doing productive things like play sports and reading. The problem is parents not paying attention to what there kids are playing and how long they are playing.

If you think it is my fault people like him exist then you are sadly mistaken. I play M rated games, my parents know what they are. I know the difference between real and fake.

I disagree. I am 20 now, and I have been playing M rate games since I was about 8. I for one do not believe in strict censorship. You shouldn't just jump to conclusions, and call parents dumb for letting their child play a game with "animated" violence. A company or government should have no control over what a child plays or sees. That is parents responsibility.

However, it is saddening to see 8 year olds on video games cursing everyone out. Those are the kids who have dumb or naive parents. I know plenty of little kids on live who are fun to play with and know how to respect people. They shouldn't be punished for other's mistakes.

This is the post i agree with most out of all of them. I am 16 but i am at least as mature as an 18 year old and i have met tons of 18 year olds with the minds of 10 year olds. i hate it wen people are like oh hes not an adult just cos loads of people my age are antisocial violant layabouts. people shouldent be judged by their age, i have been on xbl and heard adult swear and scream and sing even! i am mature enough to know not to make unnecissary noise on xbl. you cant stop all under 18's why dont you just get people who are disorderly banned cos that would solve the immature adult problem too.

Hi Im 15, and i hate these little kids to, calling me names or something randomly. I guess there parents get them the games, because they know there not stupid enough to think you can do the stuff you can in a game eg GTA4 killing people.

So my paraents buy me M rated games because its just a game.

My parents bought me M rated games when I was young (I'm 25 now), and I turned out fine... I think.

But it's different now than it was game. An M rated game in the late 80's didn't have online play with 30-something year olds, trash talkers, blood and gore, etc.

My son is 7 and I bought him his first M rated game recently. He plays online and everything. But I utilize parental controls and monotor him, like a good parent. I know he's learned a few words I'd rather not have him know, but he knows that if it slips out again, I'll bust out the belt :)

It's all parenting. If you want to watch something that's funny, but sadly true, watch this video Fox News (Fair and Unbiased!) did about Online Gaming. Especially watch 1:36-1:57. Parents just don't know.

P.S. Some of the stuff in that is pretty funny, in my opinion

i do mute them if they're really annoying, but i don't like doing it on every game,

my biggest problem is the trash talking, while its hilarious hearing a squeky voice call some one a Bi^^^ it gets obnoxious after awhile

I could careless about it but when i want to try and play a game why must i play with little idiots and people that don't even wish to play? I don't care if i'm cussed at or anything like that it just makes me laugh because after that he left the game. Too scared to even stay in a room after he has a spaz attack. Also how's that getting punked? He didn't kill me nor even get a response out of me. He got punked because he ran away like alittle coward when i don't even have a microphone.

Well you really can't do anything about them, but i do agree. I hate it when little kids play M games for quite a few reasons.

1a. they NEVER EVER shut up. like honestly its ridiculous.

1b. their voices are annoyingly high pitched.( so in most cases i use the handy feature of muting)

2. they are horrible at video games. tragic and complete failures. My advice to them is to stay off xbl until you are decent.

3. they are dumb. they just say what the f@#$ all day long cause they keep on getting their heads popped off.

so all in all i think as long as you are a mature person you are fine to play on xbl. otherwise get off and go play wii.
