How do xbl 8 yr olds keep getting M games?

im 14 and i play rated M games...but i'd say im much more mature than the average 8 yr old little ****GCN-beats-PS2

If your 14 i should darn well hope your more mature than an 8 year old. people keep on saying dumb parents bjut its not just then its the community we live in that tells us kids can be cheeky little brats to addults just cos they saw it on some movie e.g (stupid) agent cody banks (worst film eva) were he beats up adults. it drives me crazy wen people talk to adults like they are better than them, especially if it is over a mic cos then they cant be stopped (becides muting as soooooo many people have so helpfuly pointed out.

Well IMO parents should only give them M games and take them to 16 movies if they no the child can handle it and is mature enough not irritate and brag a calm child who aint hyper fine but a hyper active dramatic child if they play them their basically gonna become PHYSCO PATH!

So some parents only alow it because thier kids can handle it only dumb parents just buy them in other words theirs alot of dumb parents............

I've always found it a little unusual that the gaming community, in general, does not believe there is anything wrong with violent video games and that kids should be allowed to play them. However, when the question is posed "How do children get their hands on them" the answer is typically "bad parenting." That is a really good point, its rediculous blaming the parents, you people would all be pretty pissed if your parents didnt buy you he game even if you knew you were mature enough for it. i still do get annoyed by squeeky voices (who wouldent) but just mute them. this is not about that topic tho anymore, it has become a debate bout wether kids should should be stopped playing video games even if they are mature enough.

I disagree. I am 20 now, and I have been playing M rate games since I was about 8. I for one do not believe in strict censorship. You shouldn't just jump to conclusions, and call parents dumb for letting their child play a game with "animated" violence. A company or government should have no control over what a child plays or sees. That is parents responsibility.

However, it is saddening to see 8 year olds on video games cursing everyone out. Those are the kids who have dumb or naive parents. I know plenty of little kids on live who are fun to play with and know how to respect people. They shouldn't be punished for other's mistakes.

I agree. One of my first games was Wolfenstein 3D when I was around 3, when I was five or six I was playing the Duke Nukem games. It doesn't matter if parents buy their kids M rated games, that doesn't make them bad parents. They are bad parents when they raise kids that will get online and you have to hear a seven year old kid talk about how he ****** your mom last night.

This is impossible because people can lie about there age and parents buy there games.
I am only 13, but I am not obnoxious on xbox live, I often don't talk unless I feel I have to. I'm tired of teenagers/little kids giving me and other responsible gamers a bad rep.

Anyway, it really is the parent's fault. They could care less if their kid becomes a annoying pest as long as they don't have to deal with him because he's playing Call of Duty 4 all day.

Thats stupid, how would they do that, they cant block there accounts because of there age because i am sure half of them lied about it when they signed up.

And to answer your question..
obviously there parents dont care if there kids play M rated games, or they just dont look at the rating. Personally i hate trash talkers period, especially the ones with the little annoying pre puberty voices which mostly are the younger kids.
but doesnt it make you feel better after pwning them???

personally i wish they would stop...but what can we do??

True not only kids did it but they're the only people that i've seen do it to me so far. Although yes not only little children are immature many adults are too. Only reason i dislike most children that i've met the majority are very immature. I've gotten naked pictures from little children it's just disgusting. I just wish people would stop being dumb and play games for fun not to be ****s.
