no you dont, yours is fine. it's fast enough to play xbox live with no lag

So i should be okay then? Im buying a wireless bridge so i can have live for my xbox 360 if that will make it any more laggy or less laggy. I use Bt for my broadband.

i want to know what's the average connection speed amongst xbox live users. mine is 1 mega but sometimes i feel like upgrading even though i hardly experience lag or issues that force me to upgrade. however i just wanna see and based on that i'll look into possibly upgrading to 2 or 5.thecobraholder

978 kilobits? thats slow dude. to play without lag on live. you need anywhere around 2850 kbs or 350 kBs. if you go to "MY RESULTS" and right under the ad, you sould find "Speed Measure". make sure it's set to kilobytes (kB/s), not kilobits (kb/s). you have to know the difference so you wont get confused.

You lucky bastards, I'm jealous of all of you. Over here, I only get 256kbps Down and 96kbps Up for a whopping $60 a month. Sucks living on an island. Here are my speedtest results:

really dont care because o get lag for about 10 mins once a week tops

I don't know if anyone have said this in here, but all you need is fast upload (ill say more than 300 kbps) to play without lag on xbox live. Download is for download... playing online is not downloading is uploading, though you need some download power too.

For online gaming ill rather take 512 kbps download with 5 mbps than 5 mbps and 512 kbps upload.

My speed: 10 mbps down, 512 kbps up. What i really get: 9 thousand and something kbps down and between 440-490 kbps up.
