I got a 360 in August '06 with Dead Rising. I didn't get a new game until Halo 3 came out, and then I got Oblivion in July '08. Now, thanks to Fallout 3 (which I purchased at the end of January '09) and my decision to FINALLY start my 1 month trial on Xbox Live (due to the acquisition of a stable internet connection), I have a newfound love for my 360. I am trying to catch up on all the great games. In the past 6 weeks I've bought The Orange Box, Skate, Mirror's Edge, Left 4 Dead (which prompted me to buy the Live headset), Gears of War, and of course Fallout 3. They've all completely blown me away and in that short amount of time, my gamerscore shot from 900 to 2600 and I've become completely addicted to 360 gaming. I used to be an avid Wii supporter, and I still am, but until my love for achievements dies down (lolwut), I'm going to be playing my 360 for a long time. But of course, the opportunity to get a new game keeps presenting itself. So, I only have one question (and after that question I will have another question).

What should my next game be?

I have:

Perfect Dark Zero

Dead Rising

Halo 3

Gears of War

LOST Via Domus

Oblivion

Fallout 3

Left 4 Dead

Mirror's Edge

Skate

The Orange Box

I have always wanted to get Banjo Kazooie, GTA IV (especially now that it is $25 at Gamestop, and Lost & Damned is out), Bioshock, Fable II, and Dead Space. I have also been interested in FarCry 2 and Too Human (omg it got a 7 from two dudes, dat means it sucks).

So now you may ignore this next question because I am asking for a lot here (see what I did there)...So they upgraded the 360s recently (or not too recently) so that the Falcon-whatever is quieter...or whatever. I play 360 deep into the night and I live in a single college dorm room with a roommate (meaning that the loud humming noise may disturb him...although he has not complained about it yet_. Plus, my 20GB hard drive is almost full and I want to install games to the HDD. AND...my 360 occasionally gets the E 68 error which means that there is something wrong with the HDD. Nothing a restart or two can't fix, but it still scares me and adds to the amount of time before I can play a game. Is this reason enough to get a new 360, especially since an Elite console is the same price now as my Pro console was 2 and a half years ago?

Yes. But be sure to buy a 120gb HDD with it (unless it comes with it, like some people have said).

call of duty 4 or call of duty world at war. both are great, but call of duty 4 is better imo. both great mulitplayer titles and the single player for both are quite short, but cod 4's is quite cinematic

60GB hard drive will do it. I have a small 20GB and i got 2GB left, but if your REALLY into videos and stuff for download, the more space the better. Fable 2 is fun and COD:WAW is a blast to play online, but if your more for the solo campaign go for COD:4. Have fun! :)

You already have a nice set of games, from what i can tell.

First thing before i go any further, there is absolutely NO POINT BUYING A NEW XBOX. I have had mines since launch and i pretty much run the same speed as everyone else. If you must to make it quieter, go ahead and take the plunge, but I don't think you want to be forking up another few hundreds to make it quieter. Also, just buy a new harddrive if you need space, don't go all out if you already have the product. (Im running on the original 10 GB HDD, and i have twice the amount of games you have.)

Oh, about the downloading games to your system. they really don't make much of a difference in how long it takes to load up a game. the only game i would suggest doing something like this is for Oblivion and fallout 3 due to the size of the game. Also, remember that if you download them to your xbox, your still going to need the disk.

Im not going to suggest many games to you, but i will tell you Too human isn't a good buy. my friend had it and he likes almost anything, and even he dropped it.

GTA IV is probably the best pick up on your list, but you should look at Saints row 2 also, as it gives the player more freedom and awards you from doing stuff from streaking to spraying buildings with septic tank trucks.

find the deal thats right for your hard drive needs. the 60gig is the best deal but no matter which one you buy all the new JASPER 360s are MUCH easier on the ears. and run much cooler, even cooler if u install the game u play the most to the hdd.

if u look at the upc bar code on the box and it says lot no. 844 or above the odds r good that its a jasper/newest/best 360. if you really want to know all about this go get the march 09 issue of OXM. theres a article in it thats perfect for what u want to know.

i second the gta 4 its a must have!

but installing the disc DOES help it run cooler. ever play a game for awhile and take the disc out and feel how hot it is?i have a 360 i bought in october 06 and last friday i bought a arcade put my 120hdd on it and ive been playing 6 to 14 hours a day since i got left 4 dead before xmas, and everything is smoother and maybe just a tiny bit faster on the new one for sure! if your a gamer who cant live without your 360 with money to spare go ahead and get yourself a newer 360 thats less likly to get the dreaded RED RINGS OF DEATH.

If you're into modern warfare shooters then I would give it a shot and it is also one of the most played games on XBL. You should check out some of the reviews, here's a Gametrailer review.
