sorry to saY this man but your parents are way too strict in their ingorance to the point that theyre just being mean, regardless of whether it's their house and money or not, but it's a parent's responsibility to his/her child happy, and if the money is simply too much then rather than banning you from tje stuff I think they should explain to you that it's too expensive and/or a waste of life. Actually it was a wise descision my mom was strict hell she had 2 be being a single mom left with 7 kids(alot I know) I had 2 move out at sixteen it was the grown thing 2do hell I wish I couldve stuck it out a few more years under mamas roof but u gotta do wat u gotta do for family and I moved out it was just too much.

Further, if they were smart they'd charge you with incorrigibility (a juvenile status offense) and take you to see a therapist where'd you likely be diagnosed with an oppositional disorder at which point the therapist will help your parents grow some and actually be parents.

All topics I'm active in (3) I see your comment about the popularity & coolest guy on earth u are. Always at the beach with girl outside but you often post here from your computer (a notebook you bring with you at the beach) what are you doing here go to the beach and hook some girls (in your case probably all playmates :roll: ). Well they may have their reasons for no XboxLive - that could be somewhat understandable.

As far as not letting you get the console if you're paying for it with your own money and have already been exposed to Xbox style gaming - well I don't understand that.  The 360 is no more violent or anything else over the original Xbox - both systems offered more adult or young adult oriented games and are comparable in content.  The 360 just has better graphics.

Don't know what to tell you.  Keep asking and tell them you want it because you really want "Table Tennis" or "Bionicle" or some other game that they will be accepting of - don't say "I have to have Gears of War" or anything like that as I'm sure they wouldn't go for that - even if that is your ultimate goal.

Sure call me a geek.  I have been my whole life, in fact I built my first computer from a kit in 1978.  I don't care if you think I'm a geek, in fact I take it as a compliment whether you mean it that way or not - women come and go (I'm on my 2nd marriage) but the games are only getting better as the years go by.  :)

I vote for kind number #1 who actually uses his brain instead of getting caught up in the material thought process that is destroying our society in the thinking that you "have to be" athletic, you have to go partying, you have to get married, you have to do this or that because someone else thinks it's better for you.  It's ok to exercise your creative thought process.  It's a choice to focus on the physical or the mental aspects of your life and everyone is stronger on one side or the other depending on those choices.  Video games is a mental activity that exercises your brain - much more than going to a party and getting drunk just to pick up some chick.  Also more and more girls are getting into gaming - in fact I personally know a few developers who are women and love gaming (and yes they are smokin hot too) - so it doesn't mean he'll be single forever.

From my view point being 18 and having two children and then spelling as poorly as you are, i wouldn't think you moving out was the greatest idea in the world and i'm not sure i believe the story at all, certainly not the "high paying job" part but whatever. I certainly don't think this kid should do it.

 Clearly he's not above the age of 13 and if he is then i'm shocked, do as your parents tell you kid, it's for your own benefit.

I play video games probably once a day and I bet any money that you do too. It has not affected my life I'm still very athletic (1st place in high jump, 2nd in sprint and 4th in long jump), and also have lots of "REAL friends" as you call them

same thing happened here, my mom said I wasnt allowed to play on xbox live but I just went ahead and made an account and beacause my dad thought it was a cool concept of playing with people around the world she didnt get mad

I have my own TV but that would suck having only one and not being able to play when someone is watching TV.

One of my friends is only allowed an hour a day, I think that sucks hardcore
