Well I have had Oblivion since launch... And I can tell you you are looking at it the wrong way.
Oblivion is the type of game that you can do whatever you really want to do with it...Â
The Side-Quests and the huge open ended world are what make it such a wonderful game..
And if you don't have a lot of time, that's fine... It's not beating games that really matters most, but having fun with them.Â
I still haven't gotten anywhere near finishing the main quest...
Actually... I'm on the 2nd quest OF the main quest... Right when I finished the beginning I went out on my own and basically never did anything with the main quest again.Â
I have played approx 130 hours and am coming close to finishing all of the side quests... But not really..
Overall the game is probably looking anywhere from 200-300 hours+... But it just depends on what you want to do... If you keep playing it afterwards, decide to create a new character, want to max out all of your stats, do all of the quests, etc.. It could take you awhile... If you just want to do the main quest (which takes away the point, but ohh well), then your probably looking at around 40-50 hours approx. If you play it on your own without always looking at a guide or asking people for help. Â
