I pre-order all the time, because I have the money now, but down the road when the game releases I might not. The games I have pre-ordered: The Darkness, Nascar 08, DIRT, Bioshock, Mass Effect, & NCAA Football 08.
mass effect, assasins creed, GTA4, bioshock, forza 2, army of 2, halo 3, the darkness, and i have a little fund of store credit for a PS3... oh yea and orange box.
Just bought a 360 bundle off Ebay with 12 games..so those will keep me plenty busy.I'll get Halo 3 ..GTA 4 whenever they available..no need to pre-order.
I just have Halo 3 Legendary preordered. I plan on preordering Mass Effect, Bioshock, GTA 4 and someother ones. the reason to preorder is if your like me and want to get the game on the day it comes out. Like I will be going to Ebgames at midnight of September 25 to get Halo 3 while the other people have to wait till the next day to go to Bestbuy and if you wanted a Legendary garanteed you would preorder cause I bet it will be sold out at Bestbuy and other stores.
i have alot on preorder why because its a lay away system before a games release. I have Two worlds, too human, mass effect, assassin's creed, unreal tournament,frontline fuel of war,halo 3, army of two and star wars the force unleashed. and there still about 3to4 i still want to pre order but cant like MGS4, DMC4, supersmash brothers brawl,and others.
Are you joking? No shortages for Halo 2 when it came out, and there was a much larger installed system base at that time.
These aren't consoles, people, these are games that are easily duplicated.

i would love to see you getting halo 3 in the first 2 months without pre ordering.
I walked into EB the day Halo 2 came out and grabbed a copy. They had tons. They know it's going to be a big game so they ship lots.
Actually if for some reason there are shortages of halo 3, pre-orders become null and void at that point. 360 owners who pre-ordered were left waiting months to get their hands on a console. BuffysFaith is right, there is no need to buy into the scam that Gamestop is running. Go to Best Buy or any other store and grab Halo 3 when it hits shelves.
