how much damage will/can this do to my 360?

ok well i am taking a trip soon. Me and my cousins always play allot of games together and me recently buying a 360 i canot wait to play some halo with them (spltscreen).so to protect my 360, wich i treat like a new born baby, i bought an intect pro gamer's case. my friend tells me that if you move the 360 around to much the detector that knows if its standing up or lying down will not work properly and can cause many other problems. I know that his 360 has stoped working because he travelled with it before, but he kept it between two towels in a suitcase wich he dropped, kind of.

i would like to know if this case will make it 100% safe to travel with my elite or if i should take other precautions. thanks for any advice you can give me

no this isnt the three lights of death that has happened...the console just kinda starts to flicker its lights from time to time and it has problems reading discs. but i have kept my proof of purchase and i have an elite so my 1 year waranty is still in tact
