is a regular computer monitor hd?like a big boxy one?bolt2448
If you're not a graphics whore, you'll be okay with SDTV. I don't really care; I don't pour over on how detailed that one tile is by the far corner.G4mbl3If u are a Graphic Whore, Become a PC Gamer. My almost 12 Year Old Game for PC has better Graphics then Most Xbox 360 Games Out.
The diff between SD & HD is very big. Once you go HD, you'll never go back to SD. ColoradoKindBudthats whats i keep saying to my mates, i cant stand sdtv, i was playing on a 26" sdtv at my mates house,a nd my eyes were burning, ps2+ sdtv= OMG i love my 360
[QUOTE="joeamis"]If your SDTV is big & you can only afford a smaller HDTV, don't bother buying one yet.Toffe106ma SDTV is 37" and I dont have any money to use, Wait then. You have a nice big SDTV. Say you have 37''' SDTV, switching from that to a HDTV would only be better if the HDTV was atleast 32''. And even then it's questionable, would you want to spend a lot of money now to get a TV significantly smaller than the one you already have? Or wait 9-12 months and get a larger one than your SDTV?
You have a computer monitor, right? Consider getting that VGA cable and just seeing the difference for yourself. And there IS a difference.SilV3RSixA computer monitor and HDTV is the same thing. I used to play my 360 on my sdtv and couldnt read any font, and things were a little fuzzy, now that i play on my monitor its hd and real nice. Huge font and clear clear clear.
Honestly, I don't see an extreme difference. I have a 30" HDTV and a 20 sumthin inch SDTV. I played my 360 on the SDTV for a while then I got the HD. Yes, you can tell that there is a difference, but its not like omfg this is so awesome i think my eyes are going to explode. Its not like it actually changes the graphics up much, it just makes it a little more clear and sharper.

So how do i connect my xbox 360 to my computer screen?roryrcThe official VGA cable of course. Just like connecting a monitor to a computer. And if the monitor has a permanent attached vga cable the MS VGA cable comes with an adapter to connect the end of the 360 VGA cable to the end of the monitor VGA cable.
I believe HD is much better, but I don't understand how people say they can't read any text & they see scanlines on SDTV. No offense but I'm tired of hearing the "once you go HD you won't go back". Of course that is the case you don't need to state it, that's like saying "once you get a new PC you won't go back". HDTV makes your SDTV obsolete we all know that.joeamisI guess you've never played on a SDTV, because you CAN see scanlines and can barley read the text.
I guess you've never played on a SDTV, because you CAN see scanlines and can barley read the text.littleman1992he speaks the truth. i had a 27" SDTV and i couldnt play Dead Rising on my 360 because the scanlines went through the text, and the picture wasnt sharp enough to even read the objectives in most games so they were no fun to play. i ended up putting my 360 away for about a month until i bought a 37" HDTV because the 360 wasnt even playable with a SDTV.

I've been playing on a SDTV since launch, never saw scanlines ever, never had a problem with text. Maybe people had/have bad tvs.
