So, how much cash will you be spending in 2007 entirely on gaming? So far, I've gotten nothing for my X360. However, I'm going to get all of this:

Games:
Def Jam: Icon
Mass Effect
Forza 2
C&C3
Burnout 5
Halo 3

Total: € 360

Other:
2100 MSP
12 Months Gold

Total: € 80

So in total, I will lose €  440 in  2007 on  games. That's allot of money. I just can't help but think some people over here spend too much money on it. I actually overdo it a bit, but sometimes I see wishlists for 2007 containing like 20 games.

So what are you going to get and how much will it cost you approximately?

So far I've gotten
R6 Vegas: 60
COD 3 used: 35
Halo 2 used: 15
Viva Pinata on sale: 35
PGR3 used: 12

LOL I got a little obsessed with buying used games.

As for the rest of the year goes:
-Assassins Creed
-Banjo Kazooie
-Battlefield Bad Company
-Bio-Shock
-Blue Dragon
-Shivering Isles
-Fable 2
-GTA IV
-Halo3
-Mass Effect
-Resident Evil 5
-TimeShift
-Graw2
-Too Human
-Two Worlds

The thing is I seem to be adding games as the weeks pass.

Yeah, I spend a lot of money on games too. But, the thing is I pay all my bills and stuff and have the money to spare, so I think it's OK. I just try not to over do it. Like buying 3 games in one sitting. I am down to just buying 1 game and playing it out.

Depends on if I keep working at Best Buy and getting my discount.

However I'm thinking under $100 for sure.

My list of games for 2007  (I may have missed some)

1. Assassins Creed

2. Turok

3. Halo 3

4. Unreal Tournament 2007

5. Bioshock

6. Grand Theft Auto: IV  (Maybe or maybe not. San Andreas was garbage. Maybe this one will be better)

7. Indiana Jones  (If this game comes out this year)

8. Mass Effect

I got a gameznflix.com rental plan, so that will save me a TON of money since I won't just run out and buy a new game when I bored. Other than that I just plan on getting Halo 3 and Mass Effect as new games, nothing else really at this point. Biggest expenditure will be for a 60+inch DLP tv with 1080p, can't wait for that.

find those "buy two used get 1 free" deals.  you can get 3 games for the price of about 1 new game.

I normally rent games (gamefly) first before buying them these days so I should be able to save some money. I'm not sure exactly how much I'll spend but it will be a few hundred dollars.

My for sures are
NCAA Football 08
Madden 08
Halo 3.
That comes out to $180 plus Texas tax = 194.85. Wow. Plus 64.95 for Crackdown.
Equals around 260 bucks. I'll probly buy more, but those are my for sures. Plus two controllers and three recharge packs... Wow, I'm close to the cost of the actual console in this year at like, 380.

I got my x-box 360 in august and by the new year i owned 14 games and around 200 dollars in different accesories including another controller. I don't want to think what it's going to be for me this year, but for sure it will be a hell of a lot. I'm upto 72.97 with tax because I bought crackdown. And I spent 70 dollars on a badminton raquet this paycheck, if you consider real sports a game:|

Im kinda scared to do so but here goes i have about 15 games that i want and are coming out this year and a few games rumoured to be out in 2007 but it just says tba on gamespot so say thats an extra 5 games so thats 20 games at £40 each. Then i may also get a PS3 if it has enough games at the end of the year that i think it will warrent a purchase so thats another £425 and i will probably get about 5 games for that which are £40 each.

I will probably spend around £800 but that could rise to around £1400 if i decide to get a PS3.

I hate it when people (girlfriends) think you spend too much money on video games. It's a hobby. Other hobbies can be more expensive, cars, fishing, gun collections, boat clubs, skiing, etc. On the whole of things, I don't think video games are that bad.

Having said that, I wouldn't be surprised to spend $600 - $900 this year. That's a lot less than 2006 when I put out for both a 360 and Wii.

I'm trying to play as many 360 games as I possibly can. The thing is, I only buy the games I really like. The rest, I can just rent. You know, the ones you play once, or maybe even twice back to back, and never touch again. The number of different games I play is extremely high, but I only own 6, half of which I bought used for a much lower price.
