How to play Gears of War on Insane?

I finished Gears of War twice, once on Casual and then once on Hardcore. Now I am wondering what Insane will be like. Anyone got any tips? How long should it take for an average player? Is it frustrating.

After finishing on Hardcore, I went to SIngle Player then continue and then Insane. It took me to the final boos battle with General RAAM on Insane. I had the torque bow thing and when I tried to aim, RAAM killed me before the torque bow's blue laser thing could become a straight line. Is Insane realy frustrating? Hardcore was kinda hard for me.

I still want to know how to kill general raam on hardcore. I know how to kill him. hit him in the head 12 times. but that is almost impossible. or do I just get frustrated too quickly?

RAAM on insane is a major SOB, at least he was for me. He took me many tries to kill. I guess I don't know how to fight him very well. Other than that though, I think you'll be surprised at how doable the rest of insane is. The difficulty jump outside of RAAM between hardcore and insane isn't much at all. I suck at the game like I do every game but outside of RAAM and a couple other parts, I didn't really notice too much difference between insane and hardcore.kfjl

I found him easier on hardcore than casual to be honest! I guess I knew what to expect. I killed him with grenades, hammering him with the lancer and then the longshot when I ran out of grenades. I didn't even move from the point where you start. On insane though it was a different matter!!! :)

If you do struggle, just play co-op, it seems so easy with a friend.69ANT69

Agreed, I found insane not that hard, but needed help at certain points.

The only difficult thing about it is the boss fights. Really, Gears of War is a cake-walk on all difficulties though. Don't stress it. GodLovesDead

the only thing you really need to do when fighting him on hardcore, is to stay in cover for a while. if you keep your head out long enough, he can do some serious damage. keep in mind, stock up on torque bow ammo, frags, and lancer ammo. shoot him with the torque bow. when the krill go away, unleash your lancer on im. if he corners you. just iver cover and roadie run to the other end as fast as you can. keep doing the torque bow and lacer thing a few times and he should go down pretty easily.

I got so bored ofmy xbox cuz I dont have anything to play on it but now I am going to try Insane.

To kill RAAM on Hardcore I had the torque bow so I shot one at his head and made it stick. When the thing exploded the krylls got away form him so I took out the lancer and nailed him in the head continuously and also getting perfect reloads. I kept repeating this and did it.
