Has anyone done this before? Bought a game (or more than one) when you dont have the system, because you know you will eventually get it. Gamestation (uk) have got a great sale on for xbox 360 games, pro evo 2008 is 25 pounds, bioshock 22.50 pounds. So half price! Thought that was a v good deal so got them, cos I am getting a 360 next month once i know the falcom chip is definately in it.
I once bought a game guide for a game I didn't have. On a console I didn't own. I was only about 8 I think, lol. Bought the game in question (Sonic2) with a megadrive later that same day.
When my 360 died and I had to send it to Microsoft, I really thought about buying Mass Effect and V. Fighter Online, (It died recently) but then I realized they may be cheaper or used at one of the gamestores so I thought against it. Plus I didn't think I could bare to look at Mass Effect everyday and not be able to play it.
I bought Halo: Combat Evolved and Counter-Strike for the Xbox about a week before I got my Xbox. On the opposite end of things, I didn't get a game for my original Playstation till exactly one year after I owned it. I had a lot of demo disks and I rented a few times. Also, I didn't get a memory card for my PS2 till a few months later, which I played GTA III and MGS 2 without one.
i had assisans creed, mass effect, and COD 4 all paid off on pre-order, and the day before COD 4 came i got 3 red lights on my 360. talk about some luck. so now i have all 3 games that i have been dying to play for months just sitting there. I get my 360 back this monday.
i guess it kinda sucks having two quality games in front of me teasing me with their shiny new boxes and instruction manuals - on that subject (and no this is not a fetish) who here loves the scent of a freshly manufactured instruction manual? It smells so new that it almost feels like u dont wanna touch it ha. Well for em anyway
im attending to buy MGS4 for the PS3 when it launch , i dont have a PS3 but i will buy one this summer ,im going to buy MGS4 because i know it will be out of stock and i have to wait for them till they import the game .
