i went into gamestop to see if they had any used soul calibers, didn't, so i bought new. i've had it rented for over a week and it's just one of those games i'll continue playing till the year is up, so...
but, you know how they always do the "is there anything you'd like to reserve, this and that is coming out..."
and they mentioned fable 2, which i'm going to get, though i never really reserve games; just wait it out and buy after release and reviews and bashing and raves, wait till price drop or used copy comes on the shelf & get 10% discount + preplayed price.
anyway, the guy waves a redeamable poster card with the game's cover on it. says if you reserve a copy of fable 2, they give you pub games for free. so...gave him $10, pay $50 when the games out eventually and fool around with some roulette & cards. i went into the tutorial in the game, i mean there isn't much at all to it but it's gambling and that's fun and you can unlock weapons and random oddities which is pretty neat. sountrack is venturing into fable, and some characters are there. you get a feel for how the game will be
so, if you reserve fable 2 from gamestop or EB -maybe it's not nationwide -but my store gave me that for free which is pretty neat.
and i spent a lot of $$ on other random stuff today, like $15 on fruite smoothe boxes of power bars (the flavor is great) and so are power bars.
and i picked up 'Thrillville Off The Rails' for $20 at walmart. i played the demo back in winter & liked building the coasters. so whatever, that'll take some more hours off my life. i used to play this rollercoaster building game before windows even came out. I think it was just called, well i don't know, but it was straightforward with just simple green plaines background with mountains far distant, and you could build massive tracks but actually had to through some mathimatical jugs in there so the corners wouldn't kill your riders. and you could preview your ride from first row view like you can in off the rails. was pretty groundbreaking for the time. just a random pick i found. around the time of wolfenstein and the original C&C, maybe before.
but yeah, pub games is free if you pre-order at gamestop/EB.
