the funny part of this post is that the guy's being really serious and really regrets what he did...
oh man, I couldnt stop laughing after one of the guys here said to put it in the microwave. LMAO
my 360 was overheated and i got the red ring, i thought if i jsut put it in the freezer for a little while it may cool it down, but it didnt work and all it did was ruin everything inside. And i called microsoft about getting them to fix it, but they wont take it anymore because i screwed up the warranty by putting it in the freezer. Was that a bad choice?, and what should i do?

You should've used a CO2 spray can...it's the main thing computer techs and engineers use to clean/cool their equipment.
Absolutely brilliant.... this is one of the best epic fail moments I have ever heard of... sorry it had to be you buddy.
Then you put it in the freezer... which sounds like a good idea on paper... the results were kind of obvious though.
You might as well buy a new one. If you don't laugh at yourself for this one it will destory you....
Lol ya that was a very poor choice xD. i really don't dont know what else you can do, unless you know someone that can build up computers and maybe give you a hand in replacing parts. since your warrenty is void now atleast you can try opening it up i guess. since you can't use it anyway i guess you could try it?HighRidin
He might as well buy a new Xbox 360. Those things are cheap new or used. And to the TC, I appreciate people being honest but really, did you have to tell them?

Holy lord! That's almost as good as the kid that put his power brick in water, almost. :P You're pretty much SOL on your warranty. Sorry, buddy. :?
"A 14 year old boy from Brevard, North Carolina was nearly killed Sunday while trying to stop his Xbox 360 from overheating.
The boy's mother told local news that his Xbox 360 kept turning itself off after about 5 minutes. Her son had read online that he could stop it from cutting off by cooling the power supply. "I saw him put the cord on top of a box in the living room", said the boy's mother. "When I left to go next door he was playing a game but when I got back he was laying on his back on the floor and unconscious".
While his mother was away the boy had taken the power supply and wrapped it in plastic and tape. In an attempt to cool it off, he submerged it into a pan of water with the cord still plugged in. The boy had regained consciousness by the time paramedics had arrived. He was taken to the Transylvania CommunityHospital in Brevard where he spent the night.
Aside from getting knocked unconscious the boy only suffered small burns to his right hand and foot." XD
Man ive already seen it but soon after someone asks a retard question or does another post like this I can asure you that there will be "Are you the kid that put his Xbox in the freezer?"
