with all the DRM , block of used games , kinect watching you all the time , 24 h online check you guys should not support such a product or this will be the future of video game consoles im not saying go buy ps4 as a fanboy , go PC if you like i like my PC more than my ps3 Way more, but just dont support this crap or it will kill us in the future imagine when a day you lose a connection or the servers will go down on xbox : you will not be able to play games at all even offline single player , you cant re sell your games ect.. i know you love your exlusives as i do on pc and ps3 but something have to give for the better to improve the future of our gaming , Devs should know that we gamers are not the one who will follow your crap but your the ones who should follow US

and if you wana know how bad the DRM thing is just take a look at simcity 2013 and diablo 3 forums

I disagree, their games look great.

I do not support the new system at is seems to stand right now, but I do support many of the games that they will be having. A conundrum, to be sure...

I already pre-ordered mine, I guess I'm a dumbass. Preordered a PS4 as well and just built new PC in Sig.

I could care less about the online requirements as I'm always plugged in, data mining, or used games policies(i also want developers to make money, Oh the horror). I also can care less about the Government looking at my phone call logs. So there you have it, It's hard to annoy me I guess.

Bottom line is, the launch lineup looks good. That's all I care about.

even if i wanted to support this console (which i don't) i can't afford to pay full prices for everything i play. to date, i have played 297 games on my 360. i'd say about 30 are arcade titles so the rest are full priced retail games. if i had to pay full price for every one of those it would cost me $16,020 USD. i like games as much as the next guy, but not that much! used games keep me playing between new retail purchases. they keep the ecosystem in check and alive. many, many times i have used old games to pay for new, retail games, so in a sense their cutting off a another option to buy new games.

I kind of agree a bit on how buying it "supports" this surveillance thing. And how this type of thing might because a trend into other services and products. Not trying to turn this into a political debate but I think people should at least realise this. It doesn't matter if you have nothing to hide, I have nothing to hide when I take a dump but I don't want people to watch me doing it.

I am replying to this while on the toilet..... Everything we do on the internet is tracked and used for marketing purposes. It's not just an Xbox thing. I don't see why everyone is fighting over it, if you disagree just vote with your wallet and not purchase. Microsoft would get the idea soon. But in reality enough people are going to buy this thing and all these topics will quite down after a couple good game reviews in November.

The games on the xbox one are appealing right now but looking back at the exclusives that came out on ps3 and 360 the ps3 definitely wins. Just because the launch games are better on xbox one will not sway me to be betrayed later on with no further exclusives. That and being $100 more expensive, forcing me to own a kinect, forcing me to be always connected to the internet, etc is just too much. Nothing is appealing about the xbox one except the launch exclusives and that is not enough.

Used games will still be available for purhase and the option to sell them as well. As well as people choosing to put you on their shared list which lets you play any of the games they have without a disc on your system whenever you want. People really need to read up on the new policies instead of bitching about them without knowing anything.

It comes down to people not fully understanding or taking the time to read up on the new policies. Most of it is just the normal fan boy complaining. The games look great as well as the the new features.

I pre-ordered it........uh oh.......am I in trouble or something? I was blown away by their E3 presentation. I was bored by PS4's. Is it ok if I go with the console that interested me the most?

The Xbone is a trash system only the insane would want to buy:

 - $500 price, which is $100 more for a WEAKER console

 - Kinect forced to be active, always watching and listening

 - Horrible DRM

 - Horrible used games policy

 - Launch conference strongly suggested that M$ focus on TV instead of gaming

 - Microsoft is a horribly arragont company with a stick up it's ass telling it's fans to go **** themselves.

As a former Xbox owner, I would return the console if it was gifted to me for free.

Didn't playstation basically state a similar stance on used games? First party won't ne affected but they would "leave it up to the developers" if there will be a used games fee.

In other words, it is like the PS3. Online passes weren't exactly a successful thing and EA themselves said they will never go into that territory again.

I think that means EA will come up with something other than online passes to thwart used game sales....who knows.....we'll see. The thing about EA is....they like money. All devs do

I certainly won't be supporting the steaming pile of feces that the Xbone is.

Next gen is going to be PS4, Wii U, and PC for me.

Even though I'm not getting a X1(at least for now)I wouldn't say it's a bad system in general, it's just the direction that MS is taking. I would still be un-decided if MS hadn't turned it's back on us.

I'm definitely gonna take a "wait and see" approach to the X1 but games like SW: Battlefront and Halo 5 are going to make it extremely difficult to resist for long.

It concerns me slightly that some may order an XBox One without fully understanding it's restrictions. I think the fact that you won't be able to rent games for it or lend them to a friend will be major issues for most people. Regardless of my principles, these restrictions mean that the XBox One is simply of no use to me and I suspect that might be the case for a large number of gamers.

No. A dumbass is someone who categorizes an entire group of people without having any particular reason to say what they said. But hey, at least it makes your sig funny, in a pathetically ironic way.

I'm really looking forward to the Xbox One. The stance on used games isn't surprising since most of the companies make almost nothing on the used games from gamestop.  Also, with the announcement of the new Killer Instinct being exclusive that sweetened the deal for me.

We also don't know yet exactly what these restrictions will be yet. If its up to the publisher it my not change at all. Until we know more the way I see it is that if a publisher enforces the used policy you would have to buy the game from a dealer taking part in the program. No direct fee on the buyers end. If they do not enact the used game block, who knows, used games may be just like before. Free to buy the game from wherever you want. We just have to wait and see.

With the Xbone, it's more like you're supporting the only platform that charges you to play single player games offline. Congrats, your console can brick at any given moment. I'm sure you'll get an achievement when you pop in a DVD or Blu-ray instead. Even LIVE for windows doesn't charge a monthly fee lol.

Okay: simple question(and not hyperbole, my brother and I do this from time to time)- can I borrow my brother's game, and after the weekend is up tell him I'll give him twenty bucks instead of his game and seal the deal right then?

Everyone might dump on me for this... but how is XBOX1 any different than steam?

You have an account. Your games are linked to your account. As long as you are logged into your account, you can play your games anywhere.

Online check in happens when you turn the X1 on, and want to play. If your power goes out, it doesn't just wipe your xbox after 24 hours.

I don't understand all the hate. I love having physical product- but Microsoft trying to eliminate it is just the way of the future.

I also do not trade games in... and I rarely borrow from friends, so I really don't care. Also- if you think about it like Steam, its understandable why giving someone your game would be so difficult. You don't need a disk. I mean, I would love it if Microsoft kept gaming the same as it was before... but this sh*t has evolved, and we all need to grow with it.

Hi, It's 'be' not 'by', By the way the gaming industry has coped very well despite used games, if anything restricting used game lending would be detrimental, as games wouldn't be introduced to other gamers who otherwise wouldn't have even giving the genre or developers a chance.

I hope you go back to school and learn how to express yourself, in writing, properly.

EA is so full of it that it's not even funny. They were a main proponent of the Online Pass, they chose to pull out based on backlash from Xbox One, yet Sony (who is the actual driving force behind online passes) continues down that path. Even Last of Us shipped with an online pass. So people who think Sony won't be restricting used games are living in a dream world. They'll push it, especially since they profit directly from the sale of online passes. Google Twisted Metal Online Pass if you want to see Sony's glorious idea at it's worst. SE's of TM came with defunct Online Passes (which have no expiry date). Their CS department was given the order to tell customers that the pass had expired, and they need to purchase a new one. So retail copies shipped with BS codes, and the consumer had to pay for it with no other recourse. Yeah, Sony are a buncha freakin' angels.

All rigth except that on steam I can play my games in off-line mode. And as far as I can tell, there´s no limit to the amount of time I can play them off line. So that ends up being one major difference.
