I am getting both of the new systems, and for the so called issues/problems that people are having with the Xbox One doesn't bother me at all. The reason why is because I have really fast cable internet, the whole used games think I could careless since I buy like 99% of my games new/sealed and I keep all my games, and the kinect watching me umm that's alittle weird but I have nothing to hide(do you guys?). If I have a day that lose my internet connection or the servers will go down on Xbox it isn't that big of a deal if I will not be able to play games at all even offline single player, because I will also have a PS4 and I will still have my Xbox360 and my PS3.

I buy consoles systems to play games not to follow the so called stuff that others have issues with, so I will have an Xbox One and I will like it as I play game on it while the others complain over nothing.

To add to the Steam discussion, I believe if you restart your computer it stops you from being able to play offline without first reconnecting. I could be wrong, so please correct me if so, but they do share many striking similarities. On Xone though I love how I can share my library with 10 people. Now we still don't know the limits of it yet, but from what Major Nelson has been saying, I can share with friends in other states, possibly even being able to play split screen together.

I do agree it is alot like steam. The cloud seems to be the future and not just in gaming. The storage capabilities it adds is unreal.

as far as the X1 bashing (on a xbox forum, that moderators should be diverting to system wars.) this is getting old. Ok complaint 1. constant internet; I don't care I have a PC and a 360 that are hooked up to a router. complaint 2. It doesn't play used games; I don't buy used games. complaint 3 kinect watches me like some big brother; I don't know if you guys watch the news but if big brother wants to know , they know. But you can turn off the kinect and heck cover it with a towel or turn it to the wall. With it SO early people need to chill and wait and see. But if I had to bet most of the s... stirriers are Ps3 fanboys that are tired of being owned by xbox for the last couple of years. I really want to see what they have to offer. Forza is the best racing series going, battlefield WITH 64 players and Titanfall looks AMAZING! And with the deal microsoft made with the NFL I can't wait. maybe QB1 like interactive games ?

$100 more than the competition and that's with weaker hardware (Thank kinect for that). I'll wait for a price drop and a DRM drop before getting an Xbox One.

Whoever buys a Xbox One is just a dumbass and this is coming from a person who played only the 360 this generation. Its clear that Microsofts main focus when making the xbox one wasnt games. Im definetly jumping ship next gen

JordanizPro
totally agree, i only played 360 this generation until last year, because i was dissapointed with MS E3 last year. And they have only released three exclusives the last year that i have liked (Mark of Ninja, Dust: An Elysian Tale and Forza Horizon)

I do not support the new system at is seems to stand right now, but I do support many of the games that they will be having. A conundrum, to be sure...

I know exactly what you mean.
Im fully supporting X1, after researching every thing i can about it, its not as bad as people think and the media is negativly putting out hyperboles.Desynkronic
Okay: simple question(and not hyperbole, my brother and I do this from time to time)- can I borrow my brother's game, and after the weekend is up tell him I'll give him twenty bucks instead of his game and seal the deal right then?

From what we know you can have him share the game without lending you a disc and then if you want he can "gift" the disc to you. I think you know what I mean by gift.

The used game ordeal has yet to be fully explained. Used games will exist. If a publisher puts no restriction on the game you will most likely do what ever you want with the disc. If they do use the restriction you would have to buy it from a place like GameStop so that the publishers get a cut.

As someone who is a huge fan of the Xbox 360, I'm very disappointed in the path that Microsoft chose for the Xbox One. I'll probably end up buying it for a few exclusives, but the PS4 is definitely my #1 choice.

If its what you want buy it. If you want a PS4 buy that. A Wii U... Well you get the point. If you can buy all three and enjoy all the games.

Everyone might dump on me for this... but how is XBOX1 any different than steam?

You have an account. Your games are linked to your account. As long as you are logged into your account, you can play your games anywhere.

Online check in happens when you turn the X1 on, and want to play. If your power goes out, it doesn't just wipe your xbox after 24 hours.

I don't understand all the hate. I love having physical product- but Microsoft trying to eliminate it is just the way of the future.

I also do not trade games in... and I rarely borrow from friends, so I really don't care. Also- if you think about it like Steam, its understandable why giving someone your game would be so difficult. You don't need a disk. I mean, I would love it if Microsoft kept gaming the same as it was before... but this sh*t has evolved, and we all need to grow with it.

Shmiity

I've been using Steam for about 4 months now (Woot! bought a cheap PC that can run games). I've grown to really like Steam and the sales are crazy good most of the time. Considering all of the new policies that MS has announced with the Xbox One, I feel more at ease with them, at least more than I would have had I never used Steam. Granted, I'm not crazy about the 24 hour check, but that's only real issue I have atm.

Like you mentioned, I also don't trade games in nor do I lend them out; I want to keep everthing I buy, even if I don't like them. I hope MS employs some aggresive pricing strategies when it comes to digital sales. I believe that if MS is able to match what Steam does with its pricing, consumers would be more accepting of the policies they have implemented with the XB1.

I have always loved Xbox. But I will not be getting Xbox One until they address and fix all the negative additions instead of just sidestepping the questions and comments all while constantly trying to convince us these features are great. All they are, are more complicated ways of doing things people have been doing for years.

If you fully researched you would know it's infinitely better.

Most people are morons and they just follow the crowd. The crowd will be worth Xbox One when all the AAA games will be there and better.

They are not addressing anything because what they are doing is much better. Did you hear in the news another publisher just had to downsize? Go play your PS, nobody cares.

Question: What was Steam's offline requirements when it first started? They only went to the 2 week thing fairly recently? Could it have been that they need to protect themselves as much as possible without to much intrusion on the customer, and then when they were "comfortable" they could pull back a bit?

And there´s always a way to deal with the highly advanced spying mechanism Microsoft wants to put in our houses to see kids fapping. Just cover the damn thing!

Exactly!

I'm getting one because I like the games that they are coming out with, the controller looks great, and I want to be able to play every exclusive that catches my eye. I don't care about the restrictions - none of them effect me. It's not all that different from Steam, which is a marvelous service.

I'm not buying that crap and will make sure none of my friends buy it either. I can't even borrow games from my friends and vice versa. What fool would support a system like that? Plus it will most likely go down for maintenance at some point and gamers will be locked out of playing their own games.

People need to stop trying to compare steam to consoles. I recently bought a full game for 99 cents on steam and the summer sales beat console sales hands down.

[QUOTE="Papa_Woody"]even if i wanted to support this console (which i don't) i can't afford to pay full prices for everything i play. to date, i have played 297 games on my 360. i'd say about 30 are arcade titles so the rest are full priced retail games. if i had to pay full price for every one of those it would cost me $16,020 USD. i like games as much as the next guy, but not that much! used games keep me playing between new retail purchases. they keep the ecosystem in check and alive. many, many times i have used old games to pay for new, retail games, so in a sense their cutting off a another option to buy new games.

Same here.

Very good point about Steam. My "will not buy unless they reverse the 24 hour check in" is based on being a solo gamer who likes to move my 360 around. I can't always count on an internet connection, heck, one place I go most summers doesn't even have cel phone coverage!

What makes you so sure? The NSA/PRISM thing lists Microsoft specifically, and Microsoft is releasing a device with a direct visual feed into your living room. Whether they're watching you at launch or not is immaterial- the fact that it is POSSIBLE should be the scary part.

I loved the 360. Couldn't care less that MS took all the BS away. Its the point that they tried to **** us in the ass. Since people screamed too loud, they decided to pull our pants up and smile and walk away.

**** MS. They'e not a honest company, nor a company for the gamer. They will **** you down the road, but by that time you will be sucked in.Â
