I really hope this is aint true about xbox live.

Can anyone tell me the truth about xbox live. I heard that xbox live don't have servers, its runs on p2p network and not on a server. if that is true then why would I want to play for p2p instead? Are we getting ripped off?

I'm pretty sure it depends on the game.

Edit: Sorry I'll clarify a bit. Most games are P2P, they use Microsoft servers to for the matchmaking, but the actual gameplay is hosted on an individuals console (unfortunately that person generally gets a better connection than anyone else in the match).

EA supposedly hosts some of their own games on their servers.

Yeah I don't know why it's so horrible to have ads, especially when they don't really interfere with your ability to load up a game.

Yes XBL is a rip off but people seem to think XBL is way better then everything else as well as think meh it's just 60$ a year so it will never be free like it should be.

People don't like being cheated or duped in to something, so after a year or so of doing it they will come up with limitless excuses as to why there not being duped and getting what they pay for. frankly Skype on a PC is better then Xbox chat and FREE, I don't think they provide any more security then anyone else but I'm sure ill hear how they do :roll:. This is funny to me considering the top argument for paying for live seems to be there 'amazing' servers that do so much, well other then host those slow exclusive movies (101, wasted min, knect show or somethin) I don't see what we are paying for any more.
