So, after a few weeks of wait, I finally got my 360 back from repairs. I had heard horror stories about xbox's being returned to customers that weren't their original consoles, but instead were old refurbished consoles from 2005, the height of system failures. When I opened my box I found a note saying that the serial number on this console was different then my original and they were "sorry for the inconvenience." However, upon looking at the manufacturers date on the console, it says it was built september 19th of 2007! Anyone else think it's awesome that they sent me a brand new console?laxinsax87Its quicker to send new units than to fix older units, they're saving time and money by sending a new one. Has nothing to do with customer service, they're just trying to save a buck or two.

That may be true, but it's still good customer service.

btw you only get a brand new console if yours was deemed "unfixable" ... did you drop it off your roof or something?

Nope, Just got the standard three red lights of doom like everyone else. And no, sadly it wasn't a HDMI model...I don't think. I guess I haven't checked, but I highly doubt it.
