I think my xbox 360 hates me

Ok so I finally was able to rent Resident Evil 5 yesterday after 3 weeks of waiting for it to become available. I play it for a good while and switch to Left 4 Dead to play online with some friends. During Left 4 Dead I noticed a major lag, apparently only for me though since everyone else's game was good. Then it just freezescompletely (this was in No Mercy 1 in the apartment) So i turn off the xbox and restart it. Left 4 Dead plays fine. Then I finish the game with my friends and turn it off for awhile. 2 hours later I decide to play Resident Evil 5 again, only to get a Unrecognized disc error. After about a few hours of desperation I finally get the game to play, although noticaebly laggy and then it completley froze at an end of chapter segment. So then I just turn it off again and leave it off for the rest of the day. The NEXT day the xbox won't even go past the screen with the sphere with the green X in it.

Can anyone help me?

Sounds like a DVD-Drive error. No idea what's causing it though. Does it sound like the disc spins free in the drive when you put one in? Are there any red lights lit up on the power button? Not much to go on...

That's the thing, I can't put a disc in since it won't go past that screen. But the fan gets really loud during that screen. There are no red lights either, the normal green lights

my suggestion would be to buy a ps3. They do not discrimiate.

Yeh,your 360 definitelyhates you.. my 360 hates you too.

my suggestion would be to buy a ps3. They do not discrimiate.

And you didn't Red Ring from this??? but anyways same thing happened to me with the freezes no lag though then one day boom couldn't get past the intro, turned it on again only to see the red ring winking in my face maniacally, so I think if you turn it on a few more times the Red Ring will show its ugly butt and you can take advantage of the 3 yr warrenty if your system is still covered..
