If I liked Oblivion would I enjoy Fable 2?

I am really thinking about getting Fable II sometime soon and I have done my research. It looks really cool and some people say its better than Oblivion. So I have finished Oblivion inside out and I really liked it.

Would I enjoy Fable 2?

Fable 2 is no where as deep as oblivion. Have you played the first fable? If you have fable 2 is just a improved version imo :P but its still a great game. If your looking for a game more like oblivion i would suggest fallout 3

If you liked oblivion, i too suggest fallout 3. The context is massive, alot more than fable 2.

So what are the great things about Fable 2 that Oblivion doesn't have? This isn't about finding a game like Oblivion. I'm talking about if I would like Fable 2 or if Oblivion spoiled it.

i think you would but to be honest yeah both are rpgs but other than that they are completely different. Also your not gonna get nowhere close to the amount of gameplay you probably got from oblivion.

Personaly, I like Fable 2 a lot better then Oblivion. I got Oblivion about 3 days ago. And I'm bored with it. Cause I'm lvl 1. And I don't know how to lvl up. And I'm lost. And I have no clue where to go for the main story. Plus, I got the Game of the Years edition. How do I find the places I added on to it? It's confusing..Pm me if you can help :D

you are really going to love Fable 2 if you liked oblivion. Idk if you played Fallout 3 yet but You are going to Love fable and hate fallout. thats my opinon

I'd recommend Two Worlds. Everything is huge and different. It's good if you can get over the repetitive voice-overs. Don't know why people bashed that game so much.

Other than Fable 2 and Oblivion being in the same genre they are totally different. Personally I loved both. They both offer their pluses and minuses. Oblivion is way bigger and offers alot more hours of gameplay. Fable 2's combat is really well done imo, and it offers the ability to make choices that will cause the game to change accordingly. I would recommend Fable 2 to anyone that likes RPG's. But if your looking to get lost in a game for awhile I would recommend Fallout 3 over Fable 2. While both are excellent games you could easily finish Fable 2 in a few days when Fallout 3 has much more you can do.

Apples and oranges, Oblivion and Fable 2 are entirely different games. Anyone that says otherwise has no idea what they are talking about. They are two RPGs but entirely different playing styles.

I enjoyed both. Fable 2 is definantly a lot shorter than Oblivion, but it's just as fun.

I'd say get Fallout 3 also if you want to compare games to Oblivion.

Fable 2 has a liner game world. Sure you can go off and do random quests or jobs, but the world isn't one big open plain like Oblivion or Fallout 3.

get fallout3 its closer to oblivion then fable, iv been playing it for 3 days non stop and i love the V.A.T.S system. fable was to short and didn't have everything i thought it would, i beat it all in 2 days and did every side quest.

fable2 is truly a baby rpg

its easy theys a compass thing at the bottom of the screen which shows a triangle that points the way to walk to your goal. if you press X or B (cant remember which) it brings up a menu. on here is a a quest logged, shows ur active quest and ones that u aint doing but can select. pick the one u want to do and then it will add its location to the map on the map u may be able to click the place and fast travel if not fast travel to wheres nearest and then follow the compass for directions to where u want to go chek this site, answers all questions on oblivion. http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Main_Page once you get the hang of the game and the system, thats when it grips you. i was in the same boat at first stuck didnt get it , but once it clicked i cudnt escape the game

You have to sleep to lvl up. :)

Okay thanks guys. I think I will still get Fable 2 but because I am looking forward to it so much I will probably be disappointed from what I've heard. I will get Fable first then Fallout 3.

be honest Fable 2 and Oblivion are two diffirent kettle of fish... Completely diffirent to each other, I personally didnt enjoy Fable 2 didnt like the whole third person view but the whole family thing which you could do was midly amusing, Oblvion is still better though

I liked Fable 2 a lot more than Fallout 3 actually, even though F3 is made by Bethesda, and I live in DC....lol.... a lot of the metro stations are accurate, but Fable 2 was a hella lot of fun.... while it lasted.

If you liked Oblivion then you will probably like Fallout 3. Fallout 3 is basically Oblivion but with guns and nukes. Fable 2 plays differently from Oblivion so unless you played Fable then its kinda hard to tell if you will like fable. I suggest u either rent it or borrow it from a friend.

Take this from a Oblivion fan, Fallout 3 is Oblivion with guns but much smaller with bad gun comat. Fable 2 is a great idea with shallower content then a puddle of water containing milk.

If you liked Oblivion, trust what everyone said and go with Fallout 3.

It is "like" Oblivion, but many things are very different. Combat is a complete change and some of the weapons are Awesome!
