I like the GTA games on the Playstation better, so I'll pick it up for that when I get one. I'd rather just fully enjoy it without the achievements because imo they make you rush the game just to get a few points.Strife88

Agreed. I've played through SA on 4 different systems in the past 3 and a half years (PS2, Xbox, 360, and PC) and it was fun every time.

I was one of those people that though GTA III was dumb when it first came out... then Vice City came out, which blew my mind away(maybe it was all the scarface references)... Then I sat down and beat them all... and I love this series... I'm currently playing Vice City to beat it before GTA IV comes out, I currently have 26 days to beat it...

GTA III (takes place in 2001) - you're a criminal(Claude) that was setup by you girlfriend. You work your way up the italian mob in Liberty City to find her and get your revenge.

GTA Vice City Stories (takes place one year before GTA VICE CITY, 1984) - Your a marine(Vic Vance) that has just been discharged, your younger brother is interested in getting in the drug dealing business and cons you into joining in...

GTA Liberty City Stories (three years before GTA III, 1998)- The story of Toni Sipriani, who works for the Leone family returns to Liberty City after 3 years to regain his respect and rank for Salvatore Leone by taking out the oposing families: The Farelli's and the Sindaccos.

GTA SAN ANDREAS - A former gang member(Carl Johnson) moves from Liberty City back to his birthplace: Los Santos, San Andreas after finding out about his mother's death. To gain respect and to protect his family he joins up with the grove street family gang to find the murderer of his mother.

original ps1 early models had a cartridge port for snes games, that had to be removed since nintendo sued them ,, they still kept the controller ports shaped similar, and such , also , they never originally had analog sticks until nintendo used them on n64 , then the hdd idea for ps2 which used ffx only, to store its game content, was taken from xboxs trademark the hdd, then you got the ability to use motion controls ps3 which originated on the wii , also the abilities to rip music and now achievments from the xbox 360 get over it ,

but i will be picking up the 360 version or ps3 on launch day then next month get the one i didnt get i would buy both but im getting mariokart as well this month on the 27th , and i have to replace my n64 tommorow, so ya ill be trying to save 200 at least but ya , i will be getting both versions , but one at launch the other one 5 days later,

Ok you missed my point GTA is not a War shooter or a Tactical shooter its a sandbox game where they throw you into a life like city and hand you a gun and then all the dumb kids and weirdos go around shooting innocent people who are walking down the sidewalk and mowing down pedestrians, and incase you don't realize thats not the same as being put into a game where enemies are out to kill you and you have to kill them first to survive. I just think its dumb that a game that basically has nothing to offer at least for more mature people has become so popular, although I cant say it totally surprises me with the kind of society we live in.

I'm not a fan of the GTA series whatsoever. The games are just honestly not that fun to me. Can't give you an exact reason - don't really like any of the gangster type games - like Saints Row either. Just not interesting whatsoever to me. Now make it Aliens in Space or Supernatural Creatures threating to kill everybody you know - but with the GTA engine and I'm down. LOL

I quite agree. I've played all the GTA games from III and onwards, but there's something about it that just seems decent, nothing more. I just prefered the True Crime games alot better. I don't think I'll get GTA 4, but I might actually consider Saints Row 2 instead.
