If you stop hyping Halo 3 now, you won't be as sad when it gets an 8.5

Mark my words, Halo 3 will get a 8.5 or lower (on GS anyway)

The only thing left in the Halo series is the remaining hype from the fanboys. IGN wasn't impressed from their latest Halo 3 playtest and I don't blame them, having to test yet ANOTHER same old Halo for the 3rd time now.

Stop hyping the game now, and it won't be such a depressed stage for all those fanboys of the game.

i am not a halo fanboy but im tired of all these 'halo sucks' and 'halo is overrated' threads. it will get a 9.0 or a 9.5 because it will be a good game just like the last 2 were. and btw when i say its good i mean the majority of the people who play it think it is, which may or may not include you, i dont care about your opinion, and neither should anyone else.

if you like the game then get it, if not then dont. but either way people need to stop making topics about it being the best game ever or an overrated p.o.s. unless youre going to make it constructive and offer the reasoning behind your opinion.

oh yeah, and its not out yet so dont act like you know any more about it than anyone else.

have you played both of them? if so, obviously not long enough to be able to realise that they were 2 very different games. new maps, vehicles, weapons, continuation of the storyline, much more customisation, etc. not to mention online play. yes there were a lot of similarities because they are 2 games in the same series but they were not the same.

and Halo isn´t that big deal if the produters dont put some new ideas in the game it will have a score below 9.0

This E3 I was much more impressed with Killzone 2 than Halo 3.Halo 3 graphics werent that impressive compared to Killzone 2 graphics and I personally think Killzone 2 will have a much higher score:D Because SONY put a lot in this game.

I think the single player of Killzone2 will better than the Halo 3 singleplayer because Halo always stink in singleplayer:!

Your no help to anything, So you didnt like Halo or Halo 2, and now you think GS will give it 8.5 becuase you havea a guess mindless view of games, every Halo game has scored 9+ on GS this i see will be the highest scoring one yet. i admit i dont know anything about killzone, and halo 2 campaign gameplay was sub-par. the original halo singleplayer was really good imo. and halo 3 graphics arent quite done yet, im hoping theyll get better. although i still dont have an hdtv so it wont make a whole lot of difference to me at this point.

So a game that's rated 8.5 out of 10 isn't fun? Why are you so angry that you would come in here and try to tell people a game that they've always liked will, in YOUR opinion, suck? Maybe you want people to be as miserable as you are? Kids these days...BreakingPoint8

For people complaining about graphics you really can't expect Halo to be about graphics. I mean the art style just isn't meant for realism. Take the following example. You can't expec to change graphics that much and expect us not to question a change in art style. Of course Bungie could prove me wrong but I doubt it.

First off, 8.5 isn't a bad score, anymore :P

Halo 3 won't be refreshing, but rather just a fun game in a series we've come to like.

First of all Halo 2 set the standard for the best console multiplayer interface ever. They are expanding the features and support this time around with Halo 3. Games that are still being released on the 360 don't support party systems that are as fun and easy as Halo 2. The party system was the best way to play with your friends and go from game to game without being separated. Now in Halo 3 they have included the saved films feature which has never been done on a console before. You can detach the camera pan around or go to any player's perspective whenever you want. Pause, fast-forward, rewind. You can even do this in the single player campaign and co-op. Then you can send them to anybody on your friends list for them to watch.

So yeah I think halo 3 is going to be like Halo 1 and Halo 2, but wasn't The Return of the King sort of like The Two Towers and The Fellowship of the Ring? Oh, I know. Maybe because it was a planned trilogy. Reviewers didn't rate ROTK lower because it's more of the same just different creatures, characters and scenarios. It's the same thing with Halo.

Gears was badly overhyped and the campaign was good but not long enough and mp has lag issues.

good point, alot of high rated games imo arent very good. Halo 3 looks awesome though, all the game websites have said the closed doors presentation was awesome. Im not sure where ppl have read that Halo 3 isnt impressive...

On G4 I think it was Adam Sessler (who I trust to tell the truth about games) and he said Halo looked even more impressive then the trailer Microsoft shown at their press conference...so this is just your opinion...I'm sure it will be scored accordingly, stop being a hater and go talk about games YOU enjoy instead of bashing games that you do not enjoy.

im not gonna lie the main reason i bought an xbox and a 360 is because of halo i will play the game to death regardless of the rating it recievesspazdawg

There's no reason to not admit that. Halo IP is a huge successfull one, and it's hype came from from its awesomeness, it earned it.

actually if you read the article on IGN, they were very impressed...

Halo get a low score?! Never! It will get a high score, not because it will be a good game or anything, but because of the hype and the fact it is halo.

I will give a scooby snack to the review site that rates halo fairly and gives it a more down to earth rating.
