I use the wireless adapter for my 360, and it's alright. It's pretty much plug-n-play for me, I don't know if others found it difficult to setup. The range on it is decent, since I'll get almost full bars and I'm a floor above the router and on the other side of the house. It'll slow downoccasionally during online matches, but it's never noticeable enough to make me want to wire a CAT5 throughout the entire house.
I would recommend getting this bundle if you haven't bought a Gold subscription yet.

I always thought the keyboard was a stupid accessory, but considering you get a spare headset, game, and keypad for only $10-20 more than you would for just the online subscription, it's a pretty good deal. I would never spend $30 for the keypad at it's regular price, but I tried it out since it came with a bundle, and it just makes everything a lot easier to type out. Now I never play without it.
The headset that comes with the console works alright, but they are very, very fragile. I've gone through about 4 of them now, they do not take abuse well at all. If you want something that will last, you might look into off-brand headsets, since I've heard the wireless ones are just as crappy but cost twice as much as the wired ones.
