I'm so sick of Insane on Gears..... I just can't do it. Raam is too difficult

In my pal's house who got X360 I saw the battle with RAAM on Insane. It's really riddiculous! One time he almost beat him, but several shoots and Felix is dead :evil:normal_man

the part that kills me...almost literally speaking...is that you get him down a good deal...and then the stupid reavers get the final hit....i'm so sh***y about that.  man, it makes me so angry.  some people posted a few days ago about how they did it...but i wish i could do the same.  some even said that (posters regardant) he or she had less trouble on hardcore (which i don't get at all) for the Raam battle.  i'm so disheartened at this point.  i've checked youtube for strategies on the final; the best youtube i've found is on hardcore...i've done that thank you very much. 

All I can Say is do it on co-op. That's your only choice. Do it with random people online. Maby you will get someone good.bigse63xy

I've been trying. I suppose I'm too lacking in the skills department. Gears of War is an exeptional game, no doubt, but Dear Lord...can we not make the final battle against the Queen's general borderline impossible? I'll keep trying, but the people with which I've teamed don't typically make the endeavor easier. I want that achievement now. When (hopefully not "if") I get that achievement...I'll appreciate it that much more.NathanHawkins

With a little work it's not bad. I have killed him over 40 times on Insane and here is the way I do it: Grab the Sniper and take Lancer and 'Nades. Sit behind the first wall and never leave it. Hit him in the NECK with every sniper shot. IF he makes his way over to you, just stay on the other side of the wall ( the first wall), meaning run around or jump over, and blind-fire him in the face.  There is no "trick", just pattern, like all games.

Another way is to run from one side to the other but I have not used that method. Co-Op, same but find someone that is competent.

There's a glitch in the game according to *trumpets* Official Xbox Magazine! If you hide behind the two cubey things nearest to where RAAM starts at the beginning of the battle, he'll come towards you, and occasionally get stuck on the other side of the box, and stay there without firing.

I tried it, and it does work occasionally, but not well. Even if you do get him stuck, it's hard to get rid of his kryll cloak, because it doesn't just fly off anymore, so you have to throw grenades or something to scare 'em off. The problem with that is that he is just the other side of your little block, so you risk blowing yourself up. If it does work, you just blind-fire into his face.

well do it in coop, ill tell you what me and my bro did and maybe it'll help u out,

well we entered the level and hid behind that block in front of you, my brother with the sniper and me with the chainsaw-lancer, we just kept shooting him (getting as much active reloads as possible) untill he stepped onto the cart that we were on, i threw 4 grenades each (or at least 3) hit him. when he was real close, we started blindifring and when he started to come around the block we were hiding behing we both jumped over it, and my brother threw his grenades as i was shooting him, all 4 of the grenades hit him and he was gone :)

lol if you dont feel like reading it, the main point is, you need about 7 grenades with the help of fire power

I've found that the strategy to defeat Raam on insane is a bit differernt than the others.... Normally you can just duck and fire sniper/bow at him until he eventually dies.... on insane you'll run out of ammo before that happens.... First off blow down the side gates of the train when you first fight him... you'll have more room to escape when he gets close....  when he does get with in grenade tossing distance, use the grenade and will stun him momentarily... run down the train track to the next cover with LIGHT... if you find dont get to cover with LIGHT you will get shredded by krill.... then as he turns around and gets closer... grenade him to stun him again.... continue down the train car until you get to the Troikka turret.... its pretty powerful and though you didnt need to use its power in the lesser difficulties, its necessary now.... pound him with tthe troika and you should be on your way...  there is light near the troika so if the krill come at you run for the light... then run back and continue to pound him with the troika

So to summarize...

1.  Wear him down with power weapons (sniper/colt/bow)

2.  When he gets close throw grenade and run for next LIGHT cover....

3.  When hes close enough again, stun him with another grenade then run to the troika turret

4.  Shred him with Troika
