Impressions on COD:5 Beta......

I was pretty excited about this game seeing how i liked COD:4 and was looking for a good shooter. When i got my beta key i downloaded it and i was way disapointed.... My first impression was this game is garbage....

In my opinion this game freakin blows! Why in the world did they let treyarch do it WTF

the maps are terribly made and the sounds are horrid...... there are some retarted things that obviously not in world war 2 things such as: Silencers, reddots, acog scopes, and MP40s with drummags. The gameplay feels dumb and the dogs that u send to attack are retarted.The graphics look pathedic and it wrongs u a lot............

A thing that applys to the beta which im sure they will fix in the full version is a glitch on the map Roundhouse where people get under the map and shoot u and u cant shoot them... Its retarted

I was pumped for this game, i loved cod 3 and found treyarch made it to a great game.

After hearing about the silencer and red dot wwii guns, this makes me puke. Not only is this game a silly attempt from cod4, but im a huge wwii fan. No way you'll see me playing this poser product.

Treyarch gets Infinity Ward's code for MP...Ctrl+C, Ctrl+V

I am still gonna try the beta, but this is no surprise really. treyarch and infinity ward are completely different dev's and I don't need to mention who is the superior dev. Cod3 (treyarch) looked just like cod2 (IW), but was buggy as hell, not as immersive, slightly worse graphics, and far worse multiplayer. This appears to be the case once again. Looks an awful lot like cod4, but not sure it will play like it.

Either way, the name is the only thing you can count on being exactly same.

Well i play it at my buddies today and thoguht it looked better than cod4 and played better, i love the night moonlighted map and the castle one, i think the game is sick, i cant wait.

oh and it plays almost indentical to cod4 gameplay wise, sooooo easy to pick up, i was was surprised me and my freind thoguht it was gonna suck because its goin back to ww2, but we had a blast with it. XD

How long did you play it exactly?

The game looks identical to CoD4. Everything is the same except all the model animations. Even graphics are the same.

As for the dogs... there awesome! I find them to be better then the helicopter. You have no idea where there going to come from when you hear them. Sure there are some weird things like silencers and such but its just to give the game some variety. I like the beta so far. My only gripe is the animations... there horrible... I can't get over how crappy they are!

wasn't expecting much after cod3. the images and trailors never impressed me.

and flamethrowers? they flaunt it terribly too. lets now stick with warfare as it is - modern.

ww2 ended 60 years ago, let it go. though wolfenstein might be good, used to play the original when i was kid. killing hitler in a robot suit at the end. ha

Well the level cap is only at level 11, so really you only get a select choice of perks and guns.

Anyways:

If you are expecting another GOTY quality experience then you should be looking somewhere else.

It feels like a crappy version of COD 4. The three maps that they are allowing you to play are gorgeously designed and nice to look at, but they don't play all that well and offer very slow gameplay.

There are supressors and "Black dot sights" and a scope that looks suspiciously like the Acog except it is a black triangle instead of a red one. So take that as you will.

Basicly they took the COD 4 engine and turned it into **** Surprisingly though, a ****ty COD 4 engine is still an ok experience but don't expect much from it unless you are a WW2 fanboy or something :?.

Based on my first experiences i'd give the Beta Version a 7/10. Remember though, this is based on the fact that thre only 3 maps, and you can only go up to level 11 so the full multiplayer experience is probably going to be an 8/10.

Well they did have sights and a little known fact the german SS units had nightvision on some of their assault rifles. Its not farfetched. the gameplay trailers look fun to me im gonna give it a try anyways

Agreed! and i`l add the sound is kinda bad especially the rifles i duno if the Springfield is fireing its that quiet!

The beta isn't as bad as everyone makes out to be, people just seem like they can't get past the fact that Treyarch are making the game.

The graphics in the game are on par with those of CoD4 which is too be expected seeing as both games use the same engine.

The attachments for the guns aren't unrealistic, surpressors were used in WW2.

There are still some problems in the game such as some guns being slighly over or under powered but that's why this is a beta.

Overall Treyarch seem to have done a good job with CoD: WaW.
