Installed game on one console

Just realized that if you installa game to your HDD, it only works toward your own console. That means if you were to bring your HDD to your friend's Xbox, the disk would still move... grr..

Yup, if you copy a game to your hard drive it's copied to the hard drive and the console, so you have to have both for it to work, therefore, if you take your hard drive out and put it in another xbox you will still have the game on your hard drive but it won't be playable unless it's on that original console. So you end up having to delete it and re-installing it again on the second console and obviously you have to have the game in the tray.

Why does Microsoft prevent this though? You need the disc to play the game anyways...

Who knows. It's annoying enough that you have to keep recover your gamertag if you want to play on another HDD. Good thing my cousin saves his profile on his flash drive now.
