Do any of you guys do it ?

I was just wondering if it was worth it or if I should just keep running them off the disc

Thanks

I do it to the games I play very often. Right now I have 2 games installed on my harddrive. That being NHL 11 and Battlefield: Bad Company 2 and they run very smooth plus since I play each game for a long amount of time it uses less power and doesn't make your 360 work as hard trying to read the disc

I refuse to play a game without installing it on my hard drive first.

It's a must if you like the longevity of your console. Plus it's quite and speeds up in game load times. The only reason not to install games to your Hdd is cause you don't have enough space on it...

If i plan on playing a game to completion, i always install. Actually i sort of cringe when i hear the sound of the drive spinning now.

It's definitely less wear and tear on your xbox but for the life of me I can't see the load times getting any better. People argue that load times are much better when a game is installed to hard drive but every game I've ever installed, the load times are the same. Although the fact that it increases the life of your disk drive should be a good enough reason to do it, better load times also sounds great. But if the only reason you're doing it is to better your load times, don't get your hopes up.

Not at all. Although in some games I find it loads a tiny bit faster if I have it running off the harddrive but saving to a memory unit *shrugs* not a huge difference though.

I always do. The other day I started playing a new game and forgot to, halfway through I noticed that the load times were longer than normal and installed it. The load times were much better after that.

I do it for games that have DLC. It seems to load much faster that way. Otherwise, I let them be.

My NHL 11 runs odd some times, has no audio for a few seconds here and there, you too?

yes, Why wouldn't you? Your xbox runs at a cooler temp, the disc drives runs less, faster load times for 99.9 games, even improves on pop ins in in some games
