High, I had an Xbox until February of last year, then I got a PS3. I really liked the PS3's internet browser, and the ability to go on youtube and watch stupid crap. Do you ever see the 360 having this?

Also, I've forgotten, does the 360 let you stream video with Tversity?

No there isnt. Anyway an internet browser on any console is kind of stupid because if you own a console then you have to own a computer and besides easier to navigate with a mouse and keyboard than an analog stick and buttons

I have a PS3, and the browser sucks. I would much rather use my computer. No Xbox does not need it.

They are mutually exclusive, you don't need to own a PC to own an xbox.

Video streaming works just fine. I even do my streaming from a mac and it works great. There is also the option of putting your movie on a usb stick and just plugging it right into the front...works great too

I don't think the xbox needs a web browser. The pc is much better option when surfing the web.

You don't "have to own a computer" if you own a console.

You can have a internet browser but you need your 360 in the same network as your PC which it should be and windows Media center..

I admit it would be fun to sit on my couch and browse the interwebs. (no dirty thoughts you sickos....:P)

I don't see the Xbox getting a browser anytime soon though.

I would be a nice addition. BTW , I think browsing the web with a controller is sweet . It also saves time by not having to wait on boot up .

Yo dawg, I heard you like 360, so I put a 360 in the same network as your 360 so you can use your 360 network while you use your 360 network.

I think a web browser on the 360 would be a great. I mean, consoles are about much more than playing games these days. I use my 360 for watching movies, streamed from my PC, as well as gaming. I have also on a few occasions, shown photographs through the 360, to my family and friends. And with the announcement that Sky TV is coming to the 360 in the UK, along with Twitter and Facebook, the 360 is now just as much an entertainment hub, than a gaming console. You would then need to imagine that a web browser is one of the next logical step.

You can see where all this is heading though. Microsoft want to do to all aspects of home entertainment, what Windows has done to the PC world. They want their technology at the heart of how we do everything, from watching movies, to listening to music, to communicating with family and friends. The lines between using a PC for these things, and a games console are now becoming ever more blurred. There is absolutely nothing wrong with that, so long as everyone is getting what they want from their 360. Its ridiculous to think that your gaming experience would suffer because you can watch YouTube videos on your console.

I have used the one on my PS3 and didn't care for it. Honestly, if I want to do web browsing on my tv I would hook a VGA cable from my laptop into my tv. Besides, I use the Media Center from my PC to talk to my 360 so I can view pictures and things like that.
