Internet Problems - Xbox Live

Hello Forum, I'm in need of assistance

I live in a big house and my modem isn't that great. In fact, it's most definitely broken at the moment so the wireless range is about 2 - 3 metres away from the modem. Anyway, I would like to connect to Xbox Live without having to move the main modem from upstairs because it annoys everyone else in my house and I don't get to use it for very long because there are other people wanting to use the modem.

My question is, how do I get the internet down to my room?

You havn't explained the situation very well... or maybe its just me. :P

You could go out and buy a new modem or wireless router with more range. The only other thing I can think of is to buy a long ethernet cable, and dont use wireless.
