If your thinking "read the reviews" when you came into this thread, trust me I have. Lately I have been spending time sitting on the dashboard doing nothing but talking to friends. My latest game purchase was red dead redemption and It got old on me after I completed the campaign. Most of my friends are busy playing LP2 lately so there isnt much to do other then socialize. I have been looking for a new single player game that I can play by myself. Ultimatley Alan wake came up because it just Screamed amazing game too me. Im looking for a game that I can play by myself and that has some replay value. The only thing Im worried about on Alan wake is that how high is its replay value? My style is usually beating it on normal then going through insane. Is the story still there on the second time? are there still things to discover? How much time does the game actually take to beat?

I just did the game recently for my game times blog. It'll take you roughly around 8 hours if you just play the campaign straight, more if you go after collectibles. As for replay, it's there somewhat, but only for certain collectables that appear on the hardest diffidulty (which isn't unlocked at the start). I would honestly say rent the game if you can, or find it cheaper. The story is fantastic and the gameplay is decent, but isn't woth the full $60.

If I remember correctly, The Signal comes out at the end of the month. However, there's barely any details on it, se we don't know how long it'll be or what it'll really include.

I rented it last week after I got off from school and did everything I could. I got all the achievements, all the collectible, and by the time I was ready to return it today, I was done with it. The campaign is good for atleast 2 playthroughs and then it would sit on your shelf for a month until you decide to replay it again. I don't think it is worth $60, rent it at most.

Alan Wake is a guy alone in the dark in silent hills with a resident evil.

I plan on buying this game, just not for $60. Hoping by the end of the year, it drops to like $20-35 new and then, I could buy it and still buy DLC
