GR1 was an incredible online multiplayer game. Huge wide open maps with no giant wall barriers in them. I remember loving the farm level the most since it was huge open field at night, some forests, and a couple of farm houses. It was real intense trying to capture covered areas for your team to gain the advantage. But then GR2 came out and they change it around a bit making the levels less open and less focused on team tactics. Now the GRAW series is rediculous, they have the open levels but they place random huge boulders in the maps and the whole "open area" factor has been removed entirely. It seems all you do now is go down one narrow set path to another. What happened to what the original Ghost Recon was all about? PWS41seems only u has this query. I personally think that it is fine and with the new innovations coming in GRAW2, with the fact they have eliminated spawn killing!!! its gonna b da bomb! lol.. there are pleanty of wide open maps and because of the increased draw range, u need to odd scattered bolders here and there otherwise ur gonna get sniped. nowhere is wide and open. same with coffee plantation, fishing village. games are becoming more realistic, especially tom clancy games. so unless ur in a desert there is always something that u will be able to hide behind..sounds like u just dont like desert gulch.
If they made wide open fields for levels now, the developers would be called lazy and no one would play there game, alos all it would take is one good sniper to take out the other team. Roboradioslaveexactly.. GRAW2 is gonna be awesome.. they've included in some of the new maps places where u can take the fight indoors and up staircases etc, while the war is still going on outside, its gonna be insane.. like they breed GRAW's multiplayer with R6's indoor close knit fights and GRAW2 multiplayer was born..
I always liked Rainbow Six significantly better.w7w7w7w7w7each to their own. I personally think that the characters move slow in R6, makes it feel akward. Single player was fine, no problem there, but its like they slowed them down for multiplayer..
i wouldn't say it's "going anywere in particular, have you played the GRAW2 demo, it looks, plays and feels just like GRAW 1...at lest to mereverend_Kdemo doesnt represent the game accurately at all

RoboradioslaveWell I feel it's even more lazy to make levels with small set paths and impassable giant boulder's. Any limitation to where you can go is pure lazy. Open fields can still include a ton of detail, they don't need to be barren The gameplay has changed to run and gun spawn camping. Limitless levels are much more next gen then levels full of barriers.

About time someone brought this up My mates and I still multiplay GR jungle storm and we think its still awsome I played through 4 levels of graw and flagged it It is an OK shooter but dosn't deserve the Ghost recon Tag. I won't even bother playing graw 2........not because I don't think it will be a good shooter but because It is to far from the great GR I remember.
It is like trying to accept your fathers new wife when your mother lives next door.
thats just one level, and as I said in my first post in this thread, u just dont like desert gulch.darksusperiaWell I own the game and I've played multilayer for awhile as well. It's not just that level. GR was all about seeing your enemies from a distance and picking them off, and if they got prone quick enough it could be a real intense fight. It also had great opportunities for close combat as well. GRAW has so much junk in the levels that are just decorations causing the whole series to stray from the original gameplay mechanics. All these decorations just create narrow paths or create a limited view.
