Is Anyone Else Having Second Thoughts About Wanting Gears Of War 2?

meh. Looks the same as Gears 1 just with one or two MP changes and a new campaign. I was never really excited for it. Im ganna pick up Fallout 3 instead.

It seems to me that gears is turning into another halo. Halo everyone liked, Halo 2 everyone loved the MP, Halo 3 got bashed by everyone for some reason.

I think the same thing will happen with Gears.

one or two changes, come on man give gears 2 more credit, i mean you are definetly entitled to you opinion but you have to admit there are alot of changes

anyways to contribute to the thread, im excited for it, even though the multiplayer of gears 1 had problems if you got in with good people who had a good connection you didnt want the game to stop it was so much fun, simple but fun non the less

Its Fable 2 and Fallout 3 for me. I also wanted Far Cry 2 but got to play it early and man... Im glad I didnt buy it.

WHAT,ok i know piracy is off limits but my friend has had it for the last week and it is amazing

I'd like to point out I didn't pirate the game. I have a copy sent from Ubisoft. All SM's at Gamestop got a copy a week early and that is the copy im playing. I do not like stealing from developers who work hard to make a great game. And I know the guys who worked on FC2 worked hard. It's just missing fun gameplay elements. To put it short, its a really boring game with a really crappy story.

Did you play mp and use the map maker? I never bought the other far crys for single player...they were always boring..I bought them for the MP and map maker

the game has improved in so many ways compared to the first heres a good idea

1. Longer deeper story

2.improved more gritty realistic graphics

3. Multiplayer has been fixed with screenshot mode

4. story gives us a better background on characters

5. much more MP modes and weapons

6. an overall more badass polished game

most of the people saying there not getting it are blinded by fallout 3 which is your typical RPG run around doing tons of stuff till your head burts.

Well, this game will mostlikely get boring rather quickly for those who played the hell out of the first one... (Like me) I played the crap out of Rainbow Six Vegas 1 and when I got RSV2, it was very short lived, as well as GRAW 2.... Wait.... I'm starting to see a trend here.... Nope, not getting Gears of War 2, I am going to go take off my pre-order and put it towards Left 4 Dead.

Well from my recent experiences with games being sequels, I do believe that for me, it will get boring fast.. So I think I will try and borrow it, or give it a rent sometime. I was originally hyped for this game, but I think I am going to wait a little bit. I personally, am looking very forward to Left 4 Dead due to the fact its not a sequel, and there is nothing like it on the 360 yet, and that is my main concern with Gears... Halo 3, GRAW 2, RB6:V2, and a few other sequels got boring much faster than I anticipated. I am not saying I wont ever pick up gears, but I am more relaxed about it coming out then what I was before. Plus games like Fallout 3, or Fable 2(I never played the first 1) look to offer something new to me.. But Left 4 Dead man, Left 4 Dead. I hope you find this a little helpful..

Ok slight change of plan, ended up getting it new for £29.99 and its awesome ! seems a more fluid gameplay than the first ! looks like cod 5 is now on the waiting list..

i wish i would have saved the money and bought me a new jacket.
