i was sitting here thinking if i should by the game for the hell of it. its only like 35 bucks

the problem is i have never played it

NOOOOOO!!!!

I bought a 360 and got bioshock a month ago. Its one of the best games I've ever played. But right after I beat it. I found out it was going to be better on ps3 and i have a ps3 so if you have a ps3 wait it out.

i just bought this game last night for $20 the game is great and well worth it what makes the game so damn good is the atmosphere...u just feel like ur in this living breathing world...the AI communicate to each other, the game has some eerie moments, it's quite challengning so far and i have yet to face a big daddy which i hear are extremely hard i say get it

Yes, you should be it because it's awesome - one of the top games of 07'. Check out the demo or rent it first.

mass effect is also good and would probably last ur alot longer with multiple playthroughs...the combat feels awkward at first but i got used to it and love the combat in the game the story is great and the characters just come to live...the cutscenes and talking scenes are absolutely well done and very immersive the only problem is, is that there isn't very many "actual" places to visit...like cities and stuff...the citadel is extremely fun and i mean extremely fun and gorgeous...but the really there is only one other place like it and it isn't even half of what the citadel is...the rest is just run down places or planets that have just about nothing on it...other than that the game is great so it's up to u really....read some reviews...watch some videos...see what u want the most...also if u have about $40 i'm sure u can find both of these games for about $20 somewhere easily

Yeah I rented Bioshock and eventually had it for over a week so I ended up with a lot of late fees for it, that's how good I thought it was, I didn't want to return it, but as soon as I beat the game I did. I think I'm going to pick up a used copy because id like to play through it again.

Why wouldn't it still be the same great game it always has been? I'd say now is the best time to buy it because you can get it cheap and it's really only worth playing through twice. Value for money was the only criticism of Bioshock that I had (little replayability and no MP), so if you can pick it up for $30 I'd go for it.

Bioshock isn't for everyone! I was personally disappointed with it. If it's between Mass Effect and that go with Mass Effect. It's a LOT better!

If you are trying to decide between Mass Effect and Bioshock... which ever one you choose now, be sure to get the other at some point. They are 2 of my all time favorites and I've been playing since the Atarti.

If I had to choose I would go with Mass Effect, the universe they created is very detailed and well thought out.
