is Borderlands worth getting for single player mode?

Asking those who have played the game. I don't play alot online. Tend to get motion sick with FPS games and can't react online like others can. So is this game worth buying for the single player campaign.

Hell yes it's worth getting, even for single player. I played split screen with my friend till about level 14, and have played single player the rest of my time (22 now). Single player has been just as fun as split screen was, only less annoying, I get all of the drops now :D

The single player is good and lots of replay value there too even if you never go online.

Online adds to it alot though.

The review talks about online issues with the PS3. Other than that I don't know of any.

Yes its worth it. I mainly play the single player mode and i love it. This game is well worth the money to pick up.

I am going to say no. The game is so fun with co op, but single player really feels boring.

Yes, because it's very long and has replay value too

Try to play as each character at a time, see what happens.

Yes but I don't have real friends on my xbox (they're all PC/PS3 users) so I won't be able to really enjoy BL online, but you don't need real friends to enjoy MW2 mp, for L4D I cannot tell, never owned the first one... but I'm hyped for the 2nd one.

Yeah but playing L4D online is like playing a quake arena or something right? I mean you don't need to relate to the other players the same wayyou need to in BL right? I suppose L4D online is kinda like a team deathmatch, you can finish the game with people you don't know just as well as friends... although it's better with friends :P

Again I may be wrong cause I only played L4D through the first campaign on PC in SP mode...

You say I won't enjoy L4D2 if I don't play it with people I enjoy playing with? If that's the case then I may change L4d2 for BL... still undecided... I'm getting MW2 nontheless.

I think this game is the best game this year. It has the COD controls, Halo Speed, and Diablo/WOW looting system. It is truly amazing.dengel54

Best game ever made...... so far anyway.

Friends make the game for me. It gets very boring/lonely without them. If you are used to playing alone then I don't think it will be a big issue for you.

ill be getting this one even though i know ill be playing solo.. :P
