is Dead Island and Gears of War 3 Still worth playing?

i got them both when they came out and beat the campaign on GoW3 and got far into Dead Island almost beating the game. But them i had to make a new xbox live account(long story) and lost all of my saves and all of my achievments on ALL my games. Not too mention hundreds of hours i put into call of duty multiplayer lol. what im asking is Dead island and Gears of War 3 still worth playing becuase i have to start over on both them games? Im aware of Gears of War Judgment coming out and rumors of a sequel/DLC to Dead Island so that makes me want to lay them games to rest. what do yal think i should do? DO them games still have a good portion of people playing?

Couldn't comment on Dead Island because I've never played it but I was on Gears 3 last night and it was still very active as everyone is saying plenty of people still playing everyday.

Don't know about dead island but gears 3 is still active, however Gears 3 multiplayer has a LOT of issues and if your new to the series you will get owned by vets. I play gears 3 regularly and my k/d use to be decent 1.8 but with all the BS that's in the game now ( since the dlc map packs came out) my k/d is a freaking 1.3. Bullet sponging, retarded side hit detection, host advantage ( yea its sill in gears despite what epic says), and other inconsistant stuff that will make you rage. But its fun when it works.

Gears of War 3 is definetly worth buying. Dead Island is more of a rental.
