Is Far Cry 2 worth a buy?

Hey guys, I have been getting mixed reactions on Far Cry 2. Can someone set me straight. Is this game worth a buy? FYI I like FPSes like Halo 3, Gears, and Gears 2

I got this game today, and I must say, I am very impressed. Not only are the graphics amazing, but the gameplay and performance is too. This game is Open-World (Free-Roam, Sandbox) as well which is great, especailly to be in Africa. I tried the campaign and the map editor, they are all great.

I say, pick up this game. You will defiantly like it.

Imo yes. Far cry 2 is a fantastic game with easily over 30 hours of gameplay. There are a nice vareity of weapons and its a good buy. One thing that does get on your nerves is the mission locations. Usually im on the north part of the map and they give me missions that are completly on the other side of t he map! U have to drive all the way there. But i like the game it was a good buy for meIcefreshe1763

I did not like the mission locations either. It was impossible for me to get to the bar even when its so close to me :cry:

i got bored of it really quick.
the first 8 hours was fun though.

Farcry 2 is a very good game imo. Not GOTY material, but still a very solid 9/10 imo.

The singleplayer is alot of fun and the online is decent, along with the best map editor in console history.
