Is Halo 3 really a dissapointment?

It is a good game, the story is above average for a shooter, the multiplayer is great when you are bored of game like CoD and the graphics are decent.

No way. Halo 3 is a great game! I still play it and I get the Mythic map pack tomorrow.

For me yes it was...or maybe it was bad timing, played Bioshock few weeks before halo 3 came out. Didnt like it that much, traded it for the orange box.

Imo Halo 3 is garbage and has the worst xbl community also.

Didn't mind the campaign at all but online completely sucked... Or I did... one or the other.

Halo is really the only game on consoles in the past 10 years that stands the test of time. When fad games like COD, Gears, etc become popular then fade away, Halo will always continue to shine. I was addicted to COD4, then it got repetitive and boring (didnt stand the test of time), me and many others went back to Halo 3 and were hooked again. Its the ultimate online multiplayer game. Its more than just shooting. Hell, you can even play zombies and a form of rugby (grifball) in Halo 3!

Halo 3 is the best shooter for the xbox 360. call of duty is for people who are good at throwing random grenades and camping. pretty much no skill. Its a good game, but I think they could have done better with map design and graphics. But for sure the best shooter online for the 360

Halo 3 is awesome, I've played thru it several times and still have fun with it. Other game's get way to boring after just one play thru.

I don't agree with the first part but the second part i completely agree. To me it wasn't a disappointment but the community really ruined it for me.

Everyone plays Halo 3... Not just the kids. Its been the number 1 played online game on the 360 for the past 2 years straight, the community is pretty much the whole Xbox Live community.............

The Halo series are what made mebuy an original Xbox on launch and the same with the 360.Since bought 2nd xbox and resold and my now 2nd 360 Pro.-all to mainly play Halo.

I'm replaying on campaign Heroic on Halo 3 at moment and just love the game!

All i play are shooters because they are the most competitive and fast paced. However you look at any videogame, they are simply forms of entertainment, gaing nothing productive from life

Awesome game... only a few people would call it a disappointment... it's still the most popular Live game out there (at least, I think so -- could be wrong)... I might come back to the MP someday :)kreutz3r

Peronally i cant stand playing halo. I hate the little kids talking crap and having to shoot someone 40 times to kill them. this is also because i am terrible at halo, and it really comes down to personal opinion and preference. Im not one for aliens and lasers..

I can agree that the community can be pretty bad, I usually mute all the players because the crying, yelling and immature little kids piss me off. Hehe....

Dissapointing? No. I'd say it's more overrated. It isn't dissapointing. It's still a damn good game, but it shouldn't be a 9.5from nearly every game critic. The story is amazing, the multiplayer is good, and the graphics are average.

It was alright.

Nothing special though.

Halo 3 requires finding a good party and hanging with them while matchmaking that makes it fun for me, the right people, right time, right place. lol

no its very good game but its not the best CTR360

Got mythic map pack day it came out (Halo Wars Limited Edition) and all I can do right now is mess around in Sandbox. Halo 3 is epic.

And also, the Community is crap? lolwut? It's probably the best in any game!

i think it has the best multiplayer experience, i live in a country with crappy internet but still get 5/6 bars while playing halo and an occaisional 4/6 bar. Unlike CoD games it's quite tolerable....and i loove the BR, cant ever satisfy my hunger for a good 4 shot

I dont understnd all the fuss about the community. Every community has annoying people and not annoying people. I never notice anything special about Halo's community. Also the game is only good in MLG every other playist is way to cheap.
