Is Halo 3 still worth getting?

I might purchase it on Christmas, i'm from New Zealand so i'm not sure if there will be many online matches available anymore.

Is it a must have or should I save up for something better?

This topic is pretty laughable, but I will give you an answer anyways. Yes there will still be plenty of servers and yes it is still worthy of being bought.

Halo 3 is maybe the best shooter (single player and multiplayer wise) for the system along with CoD 4, don't wait and go buy.

PD: it will be the most played game on live for quite some time. It has like 1.5 million players weekly...

I can certainlysee people liking it less than me, I can certainly understand disliking the gameplay or the graphics or some other aspect. But I simply don't understand those who refuse to see the quality of the game or the polish of the gameplay.

Also, Halo 2 was still among the top XBLgames nightly when Halo 3 was released, and Halo 3 still has hundreds of thousands of players nightly and is still among the top XBL games nightly, even with CoD4. Right now in the late afternoon in the Eastern time zone and early afternoon in the Pacific time zone, meaning many people are at school or work,there are over 100,000 Halo 3 players online. Halo 3 matchmaking is definitely safe.

to be fair halo 3 sold half of its copys on hype alone, that is to say alot of people just bought it to see if it was as good as it was said to be and so they could play out the end since alot of people played the 1st two.

Whats with all the people trash talking about Halo 3 now a days. If it make you people feel any better then I would say it is just a good game. I do love some other games more then Halo 3, but there is no reason for you people to dump a game in every thread that mentioned Halo 3 on it.

To answer the TCs question, yes it is worth getting it. If you have XBL you're going to have some fun on that. The single player is decent, and there is always co-op.
