Nah its barely deserving of M if you ask me. Hardly any language and the blood is very cartoony. The main reason is because the "flood" is zombie like and kind of falls apart when hit with more powerful weapons.

well i dunno, halo has more blood than COD2, and you don't hear it much caus theres alot of other stuff going on but the marines drop F bombs alot and a fair amount of subtle sexual humour.

In CoD2 there is some language as well. Not to mention killing people up close and personal. I guess ESRB feels parasites are more valuable than the lives of people :D
ya thats pretty dumb because who cares about aliens that dont even exist, i just got ghost recon advanced warfighter 2 then when i opened it up it was the first one but still your killing humans in that and its rated T im like wtf, also oblivion i want it for pc but its rated m and on xbox its rated t on the used rack so thats sort of wierd.
I don't mean to be rude in saying this but I really don't even thing Halo 3 should be rated T. That was an exaggeration. I mean there is no gore unless you got a head shot and just little red you see, like in Tony Hawk when you fall. It is just that when you use the energy sword and glide to slice each other may tempt some young children. That is all I can think of.
they barely said any bad language,e and mostly Johnson who like to said a bad word, thank god he died(JK) any way, it not that violence, just basic shooting game. tell ur mom, it just like call of duty, except some bad word. that's all

not gears of war type. They cursed more in halo 1 than here, and i never heard any suggestuve themes talking or any of that crap. but what gave it the m rating is really the flood. also, you can attack people on the floor and blood comes flying out of their heads. maybe the teabags gave it the m rating??

that isn't realy anyway to put perspective on a games rating. one of the first movies i ever saw when i was a kid was ALIENS, and it has tons of swearing and violence and i would have a smile on my face watching it, but it doesn't cheapen the movie in anyway. plus i work in retail at HMV and i seriousley can't sell M games to kids under 17.

wow things go fast here i was off for like 1 hour and there was like 11 new posts lol, anyways i cant wait till tommorow when i can try and get my mom to agree to getting me it.
there is blood, mutalated flood carcasses, marines that have dirty language, there are some sex related jokesand the Arbiter chokes then stabs the prophet of truth in a cut scene....= M.
