No way but thats a crazy way to look at it. Paying the $150 would get you online in every 360 game not just Halo. Getting Live for one game is not a good idea.... no matter what the game is.
You get Xbox Live to play all games online, not just one, but if think how much time you will spend playing it online, it will quickly drop to only a few cents for each hour you play over the course of a year. It's about $1 per week, and I think there is an offer in these forums saying you can get it for $40 now.
The wireless adaptor is expensive and unnecessary. If you really want to play online just buy a longer ethernet cable for a fraction of the price. Personally I would rather have a cable (which is well hidden and out of sight) and several games, but if you want to spend $100 on something just so you can't see a wire, then be my guest :)
also I know this is xbox forum,but is xbox live realy any better than PSN online? Because I own a PS3 and I have Gears and halo 3 for xbox.TheAcejoel99
Ya Xbox is better. First, there is way more content on 360. Second, way more people use online on 360. Third, at this point I think connectivity and service is better.

XBL is a lot better than PSN and to be totally honest, $50 a year is nothing. I blow a lot more than $1 per week on a lot worse!!!!
Don't think of it as paying $50 for just one game, you can play live on any other game you want as well. And instead of buying a wireless adapter you can always get a real long cable and plug it in that way. This isn't a problem for me as my 360 is a foot away from my network adapter thing...:P
hahaha dude your not actually serious about buying the xbox brand wireless adaptor for $100... go get one thats not xbox brand, u save yourself like 75 bucks...
and no i wish i diddnt even spend the money to buy the game, nevermind anything about online..

If your saying just Halo then no... but if your also going to be playing other games online like Gears of War, (2), or 3rd party stuff like Call of Duty 4 and Grand Theft Auto 4 (if not on PS3) then its worth it.
i found a adapter that plugs into a outlet and connects directly to my ethernet and coonects to my network adapter and i have a flawless connection try to find one of these
