You can download demo's of games? and you can host games...you can't make a game though?

Yes, you can. It's called XNA Games from Microsoft which is an initiative for both indie and recognized developers to make games on the XBLA for the Xbox 360. The games are built (coded/designed/etc) on your computer with their given tools, and can be tested on your Xbox 360. This requires a yearly fee (can't remember the cost exactly).

Don't get ahead of yourself, it's extremely hard for a single person to make a game by himself - and especially make money from it.

Ya the XNA Creators Club is open to those willing and smart enough to build a game. The type of skill and knowledge that goes into making a game would take a couple of years of programming specifically in C# for the XNA framework. However, if you are already well versed in programming I say go ahead and make an attempt if you are willing to drop the yearly membership fee and the large chance that no one will ever even look at your game.

anyways, yeah TC if you join the XNA club you can get a developement kit, but like everyone's been saying, it's tough to make a game.
