First off I'm not quite sure this is the correct place for this post or not sooo...sorry if it isn't.

I was just wondering if its worth getting the rechargeable battery kit for my 360 controllers. I've been going without it for quite a while but not I've been playing more lately and going through one controllers batteries in roughly 1.5-3 weeks time. I know its not a big deal but batteries are overpriced and I feel it really is an unnecessary expense. So is it worth getting the Xbox 360 rechargeable battery kit? Also I need to buy rechargeable AA batteries to go with the kit? Right?

I'd say it's worth it, but make sure you get 2 rechargeable batteries (although I think most come with 2). Reason, after you kill the charge cycle on the batteries they won't hold a charge for long, but having a battery in the charger ready is always a plus when your current battery drains.

Or you could just get the "play and charge" which has one battery and a cord you can use to charge it while playing, effectively making it double as a wired controller, even if the battery is dead.

I've always had rechargeable battery packs for my controllers since I got my 360 and I have found one of the best purchases I have made is a wired controller. There's no messing around with charging batteries or not being able to play because your batteries are both charging. I originally bought it so that I could still play my 360 when my battery packs were charging but now I just use my wired controller all the time.

YES! I got mine when I bought my 360 a little after launch. They both still work and hold a charge for a long time. Do you have any idea how many batteries I would have gone thru by now? I'd be a damn share holder for duracell.

Play and Charge kit is worth it. Even if the battery loses life you can always use it as a wired controller.. with bulky back xD
