The spawns need some work, but everything else is pretty solid. It's not like Gears or Uncharted where you need three damn clips to take someone out. You die pretty quick in this game.

Ya it's great. I'm currently torn between Max Payne 3 multiplayer and Ghost Recon: Future Soldier multiplayer.

It started off awesome, and had some really unique and cool ideas in it. A while after the initial release, I don't have the same attitude. The multiplayer has become one of the most frustrating games to play for me. There is a really big problem with the lag/hit detection in this game quite often, and there are "syncing" issues that result in you not being able to kill people. These problems make playing this game frustrating, and result in me dying a lot when I really shouldn't have. On top of that, the ridiculous advantage higher level people have is terrible. You unlock better armor, sniper rifles, and more after Level 20+, but the bad thing is that it takes forever to get there. A lot of people who don't do anything but play this game are already close to the max level (50), and therefore are equipped way better than those like myself who are still under Level 20. The teams in the modes often seem very mismatched too, at least in my experience. The number of times I've been put on a terriible team that can't do crap is ridiculous. There are only like 6 maps total in the game too, and all of them aren't even playable in the best mode, Gang Wars. The maps get tiring after a while and I really only like a couple to begin with.

The controls, like in every Rockstar game, are way too clunky. This is especially bad for the multiplayer since you are versing other people and have to constantly be moving, dodging, etc. I often find myself not going into cover when I should, having a hard time jumping over something, and generally having difficultues just moving around in a smooth fashion.

There is ridiculous abundance of Mini-30 users, due to it being one of the best weapons in the game. This results in people camping often times, and gets even worse when people begin to unlock sniper rifles. I understand that camping is a part of every multiplayer shooter, but it sucks that in something like Max Payne, where it's supposed to be an action-oriented close range combat scenario, people decide to stay back on the opposite side of the map and take pot shots at people.

With all those negative things being said about it, it can be pretty fun. There is nothing more satisfying than getting a kill while bullet dodging in slow mo, or nailing a guy in the head in bullet time. Gang Wars is a really inventive mode and makes for an interesting twist in the usual multiplayer scenario. The customization and unlocks are a lot more deep and interesting than I thought they would be, with even the amount of weight you're carrying affecting your character. It really makes you consider what is best to use for each of your classes, and allows you to setup different ones for multiple situations. I think the multiplayer has potential to be really great if they fix the numerous issues that currently plague it. Until then though, I would just consider it "decent."

I personally don't like it. It remind me to much like GTA IV, which I hate so much. First, the spawn system sux. One time, I spawn 3 times, and die within a second of each other. Second, the hit system. I can count number of times which I was shooting somebody pretty close, and they didn't take and damage. It not really a bad multiplayer but like I said, to much like GTA IV and I hated GTA IV mutliplayer. OH yeha, takes forever to rank up levels.

Im enjoying the multiplayer though there are one or two weapons that are slightly overpowered that ruin the game (hopefully these weapons will be altered in the near future via an update) but that can be said for alot of multiplayer games so its not a major problem. One other thing worth mentioning is the lack of gamemodes unless you plan on buying the multiplayer dlc which i believe is gonna add new modes and maps you'll be limited to playing Team Deathmath, Deathmatch, Gangwars and one other mode which i cant think of atm but as a whole package the game is great and would definately recommend playing it and paying the full RRP for it :)
