it's cheaper than buying a magazine every month... fine by me. XBL has been a huge success so far and it's only going to develop further. The only thing that could ruin it is MS moving away from their core function (online gaming) and going too far into entertainment (like MTV going from music videos to stupid reality shows).

why not, this is what im arguing u see. there babying pc gamers and giving them free online play. which is what is expected on pc, but still if they made live on pc free(gold) then make like a platnuim for 360, then make gold free. and make sure gold has free online. I wish PC had a unified ranking system with no way of cheating (through memory injections ect), then I'd gladly pay the money.

So tell me then, if charging a fee is killing Live, why is it the most popular online service of all time? I hardly think Live is dying, quite the contrary. It's doing better than ever. Besides, if you can't pay about 4 bucks a month, you really have no business playing games in the first place...
